  1. I think to lull them into a false sense of security for Pinto...
  2. 2 so far, courtesy of Plouffe double w/ Mauer and Dozier on.
  3. Yeah, my dad was so good at hiding 'em that we didn't find the last few until we got out the winter clothes in the fall... Knowing this, i think our family kept track of the real dyed eggs, so it was only the plastic candy filled ones what we'd give up. Wait... you had to drive to get them? Only seems fair if you let the kids drive while looking for them... "2.... those crooked numbers kill you." I always thought "the Butler did it", but no, i guess it was a crooked number. Now i can imagine fans from a game called to look at line up. "Can you identify the number that did him in?" "It was the 5, officer, I'm sure of it!" And in response to 4, well, i don't think animals don't have to worry about jinxing things, so they got it easy! 1 out of 2 ain't bad, albeit a small sample size... Anyhow, lookin' forward to the game!
  4. And that's a fantastic link... The automobile of Gary Cooper, no less. Hmmm... coop, cooper, coopest? Oh well. I got distracted from the end of the game a bit... Thanks!
  5. Sounds like a grammar lesson... Dozie, Dozier, Doziest. "That was the Doziest play!"
  6. They caught a runner off first again on a cutoff throw to the plate. And... Pinto out trying to stretch a single into a double. Close though, and with two out, i think i'm okay with that...
  7. You're right, i was just assuming he'd be sent back down. It doesn't have to be the same person sent down. But looking at the milb gameday for Rochester, he's listed as available off the bench. (And Syracuse just got 2 walks, a strike out, a double and a sac fly off of Meyer to go up 3-2, while i'm at it)
  8. Yup, Nunez was the 26th player they allow for double headers. In yesterday's game thread, it got discussed that they're only allowed to play in the second game if the double header is a make up double header. And announcers on the Toronto feed were explaining that slight change (that they're only allowed to play in the second game) was due to logistics, in that some AAA affiliates are much further away, and couldn't always make travel arrangements in time for the first game. Leastways, that's how i understand the reasoning. As far as a day off for Kubel, it probably also is a day on for Mastrioanni. I hope he has a good game!
  9. 3rd time pays for all... And now Plouffe comes up for Hicks with a chance to tie it!
  10. Wait... Is it slower or faster? I'm confused... Um... one seems challenging... the other humorous... I'll go with... my wit. (ah, yes. Self-deprecation is the easy way out...)
  11. Kubel gave it a ride, but alas, a two out double goes for naught. Oh well.
  12. Ah. The result of the play, not of the hitting. (Sorry, got confused there) No one covering 3rd sounds vaguely familiar...
  13. 180 degrees different? This I gotta see! (Picturing a rocket to left that hits off the wall so hard it comes back to the third baseman...)
  14. Nah, I think he's available both games. But no, i haven't read the fine print, so i'm not sure.
  15. Also a bat off the bench, if the need arises? We'll see soon enough.
  16. Ha! Just an overactive imagination on my part. Never mind me! And not to devalue coherency or um, seriosity... They do have their value. But alas, no game tonight. Oh well.
  17. Yeah, it was indeed childish. Sorry. And that's independent of whether you got it as a Pinky and the Brain reference... (Relevant clip: ) I'll try to keep my comments a bit more coherent from here on out. (And say fewer things like "I am the walrus.") Thanks for the eloquent feed back.
  18. Gee Brian, what are we gonna do tomorrow night?
  19. Is there such a thing as a rally caps lock? Or do we use the rally shift key?
  20. Let's go 42! (and that's an acceptable count too)
