  1. We got another almost baserunner. Nice catch by the indians' center fielder... Morgan.
  2. Quite amusing, perhaps more so than my referent... Though mine predated you tube. The one-L lama, he's a priest The two-L llama, he's a beast And I would bet a silk pyjama There isn't any three-L lllama The author's attention has been called to a type of conflagration known as a three-alarmer. Pooh. (And the page googled what had this poem so i didn't have to depend on memory, also mentioned poem "Lineup for yesterday" which looks pretty good)
  3. Good stuff! (tryin' to organize my thoughts -- like cleaning out the lint filter in the drier) 1. Only natural to me... Escobar is backing up Florimon after all? 2. I'm still rooting for Florimon. After all, we got the rubber band in our favor today. 5. Reminds me of a favorite friend's story. A pacifist vegetarian passing through a military industrial complex expo that reminds him of the future in terminator movies gets singled out by spokesman at a booth he passes. After enduring the spiel, the spokesman asked if my friend wanted to hear more about the fancy robot. My friend politely responds "No thanks, i helped make that robot." Needless to say, that friend has some really cool stories. -- But that wasn't my initial response... I was going to comment, if they were really military experts, they would have responded "the single country on this planet will have armed drones." And i woulda thought to myself, i gotta get me a new planet! Or at least a really nice decked out self sufficient bunker... (Gar! i take too long tryin' to format stuff. Game's about to start!)
  4. "Jon Snow, you know nothing!" in general sounds like an appropriate quote... Not that i know anything either. But really this post makes me recollect my Ogden Nash... What was it... Ode to a llama?
  5. I really appreciate the fine art of attaining first base on a strike out, and breaking up the double play, but i hoping for a little more in the 9th!
  6. Begs for a venn diagram of the remaining 5%?
  7. And how is Santana holding up? Gameday indicates most batted balls hit toward right field, so i imagine he hasn't been tested much yet?
  8. While i'm all for instant gratification, i'm okay so far (though i'm still catching up on everything) Especially as he just gave up his first walk.
  9. Wrong color, i think? (Would you, could you in a box?)
  10. Funny! Did they ever keep the coin? I bet it's worth a lot due to its historical significance. Though i remember listening on the radio when Dakota was reunified a while back. I was under the impression the state was arbitrarily split up because other states were afraid it would be too square. Anyway, people were very happy at the time. I think the news program i heard it on was... let's see... Prairie Home Companion. But it's been a while...
  11. So it's safe now to go to sleep with a one run lead. (Hope you're okay though) And my apologies... i bet i could have offered more inanity. (my strong suit, if i have one) Just to see if folk were paying attention... What is never the answer? Thanks for a very entertainin' thread! (and a good game, to boot!)
  12. At least our unrelentless slugging has knocked out their starter. Exciting, no?
  13. I once saw an episode of the honeymooners. "One of these days, Bang Zoom! Straight to the moon!" I only hope the quote applies to ball or two off a twins' bat tonight... Elsewise, i'm listening close for good ideas should ever have need of a honeymoon plan.
  14. I think he was also safe at third on Dozier's single. But the stolen base was also close? (The pick off move was called safe and didn't get reviewed.) Meh, I was also pleased to see a crooked number. It has been a while...
  15. And a stolen base for Florimon! Another runner in scoring position.
  16. A little bit of both. But he put the pressure on the fielders to throw him out.
  17. Nice running by Dozier! Dribbler to third barehanded, and overthrown just enough for him to beat the throw to second.
  18. All possible contributing factors. Could also be a nice spring Saturday afternoon?
  19. Also game is going pretty quick. An actual factual 1-2-3 inning following a score.
  20. Mauer beat a shift in the first, then scored from first on Plouffe's double. Can't complain about that. Though the Orioles answered in the top of the 2nd. Nice throw from Fuld, even if it didn't cut the runner down at home.
  21. Needs ketchup? I enjoyed them both. Not like i've never repeated myself before...
