    Too lazy to page through game threads... Someone was sayin' they wanted to see Vargas at bat with the bases loaded? I think this is his second such at bat in this game. What's he gonna do?

    I want to say that attitude was attributed to Kirby Puckett. For full disclosure though, Dozier was running on the full count pitch to Mauer with 1 out when he scored on an ordinary single (which is what it's supposed to take to score when in scoring position) But yeah, i don't know what to do with myself with these big leads...

    Remind me. Are we allowed to hit home runs in the first inning? Things didn't turn out so good last time we tried that.

    I'll take the 2 rbis, and give up the runner in scoring position (i assume suzuki woulda been out at 1st if Plouffe had stayed put) Just as i took the Shafer's diving catch for the 2nd out last inning, and didn't mind as much the misplay on the 3rd out, which turned out to be gotten in dramatic fashion on Arcia's throw. But yeah. Someday maybe we'll get everything right...

    Yup. Quick throw from Arcia in Right to Santana at 2nd base was called safe originally, but overturned after a challenge.

    Suzuki on base with a strange demonstration of conservation of momentum: Ball off his elbow, into the catcher's mask. Catcher's mask flies off, and ball drops to the ground. And then Suzuki gets thrown out at second, presumably on a take and run call? Oh well.

    Did i just see what i thought i saw? A strike out on a foul tip, where the glove fell off Suzuki's hand. (Oh, and a tie game on another solo dinger... an offset fence post, rather than strictly matching. Why can't we have nice things?)

    Matching goose eggs halfway through the fourth... (Well, the fourth has yet to be matched.) Good little pitchers duel so far.

    Not that i'm sure i get it either, but speculate it is some complex linguistical humor where "fine" operates as both an adjective and a verb. That said, I'm wondering how people get their hands on tomorrow's paper, as some of those are intriguing...

    Then Bourn went and got a double. And scored on a wilde pitch? Alas, it was only a pen-ultimatum... (And i can't say anything about jokes bein' bad without pleading the 5th) Anyway, we still got a run lead. Feels so clingy all of a sudden.

    Maybe it's a baby elephant? Have you heard a baby elephant walk? More likely they're just thinking ahead. Says something about the prevalence of bulk discounts in the modern day. Anyway, yeah, i hope Dozier deslumpifies too.
