  1. I am remembering my sesame st songs... 123456789,10 11 12 (2 innings) 0 to 0 as the CBU
  2. There's more than one way to get new shoes...
  3. It just occurred to me... I don't know how to peal a siren.
  4. Oh, rain delay is over, but the jokes can keep comin'... CBU: It were a 123456 inning. 0-0 after 1.
  5. So Gibby (and apologies for failing to capitalize) said something (if memory serves) about perhaps starting another restaurant, but looking for someone with a masters in business to help out. Or something like that anyway. And the joke that came of that was "there's no taste for accounting..." And i guess the continued pondering is perhaps to set it up better so folk might actually get it and appreciate it...
  6. Anyone know any good jokes or riddles whilst we wait at the weather's beck and call? I got one (joke, not riddle) i've been ponderin' inspired by something gibby said a while ago...
  7. Yeah, turning 40 is nothing. I remembered once when i turned 1300. Vaguely. It was when i read War and Peace for Russian Lit. At least i'm pretty sure it was more than 1300 pages long... I admit i don't remember very much. I'll have to do it again sometime... But really, it isn't you getting older, it's the rest of the world getting younger and perhaps a little bit more foolish. Hard to say...
  8. Does that mean whoever's doing tomorrow's game thread intro can cut and paste thought 2? Or should they counterbalance it by thinking of how Lackey did today?
  9. Happy birthday to ye! (and a very merry unbirthday to the rest, ala Lewis Carroll...)
  10. Oh yeah, if i didn't say so already... Welcome back to the game threads, Mr. Riverbrian. Hope we kept 'em warm enough for ya.
  11. I think we got this. Mark you, it's not said and done 'til i hear from Chief, but i got a good feelin'...
  12. Ha, they fell for our gambit, getting Escobar at 3rd. Now Buxton's on base!
  13. What'd i miss? I hope Deshields is okay. Not that i'm complaining about another triple, mind you...
  14. Hope it's working. You can get into a lot of trouble (so can we) if it isn't...
  15. Perhaps not as refreshing in warm weather... What makes a good mixer (or chaser) for butter?
  16. Dozier showed him how to get it by the 3rd baseman though. The mentorin' is on the other shoulders now...
  17. I'm down with that. Less of a social experience though for most folk.
  18. Does sousaphone sound better than helicon? It might be a matter of taste...
  19. My lobster experiences are memorable too. First time i was so slow dealing with the shell that it was cold by the time i ate it. Gets kinda rubbery when cold. Second time the memorable part was being seated with strangers. They got their lobster as we sat down, and we chatted, then new strangers came when we got our lobster, and we chatted. I'm sure i've eaten lobster at other times, and it was fine, but i guess i don't remember much beyond the butter...
  20. Yes. (And don't forget the Philae comet lander to, as CRArko posted. That's pretty exciting)
