  1. We got one! Out of curiosity, were those mentioned in the article selected by other teams? (turned the live feed on just before Minnesota selected. Auspicious timing.)
  2. But they wanted the Celica... They were in a position to draft the Cyber Truck, so they actually picked this, and traded it back to the team that drafted the Celica with some swanky "pitch to contact" bumper stickers thrown in. That's fancy dealing.
  3. Nice point. I suppose i am odd. Also a fan of complexity. They lost anyway, so my rooting didn't make much difference...
  4. None the less, i hope.
  5. The it we are talking about involves Conference finals? Or some lesser goal? I assume they can, but not so sure they will.
  6. Am i allowed to root for the Bears this week? Only division team below 500...
  7. And i don't know what it says about me, but looking at this image on a small phone screen, i first parsed it as ranks of deformed squirrels rather than unbaked cookies: the odd shadowing contributing mistaking lumps of chocolate chips for accusatory noses and paws wrenched at unnatural angles.
  8. Concur. The math is left as an exercise to the reader. Make a chart of how many cookies we need to sell to pay each player. Bonus points for how many more rice crispy treats Glen Perkins will need cooking for each incentive in Byron's contract.
  9. 2 Safeties count?
  10. I have it on good authority that Who's still on first. And too lazy to read the article, but i'm curious what it would take for Mr. Correa to waive his no trade clause.
  11. Instead of saying congrats, i'll just like everyone else's post who says congrats. Because i am so lazy. Is that good enough?
  12. Is this one of those murphy's law games?
  13. We tied it while i was fooding? Good for us.
  14. Long time passing?
  15. Yeah! Only run backwards on the non-sacks.
  16. I hope he can get healthy, and we will sure miss him! And i like to think that the Twins perhaps more conscientious of injuries than some organizations? So i like to think it a good thing to wind up with the Twins if you have unusual health needs? But what do I know... Hope he still maintains some connection to the Twins if he so desires.
  17. Does signing him to a long term contract count as tendering for the purposes of this discussion? And what sort of return would folk not complain about if we traded him? (Personally, i still want him to get his chance at starting. Yeah, i'm an incurable optimist.)
  18. What's the message? And are these the kind that have ambigous (if not miserable) grammer speling and, punctuation?
  19. I just kinda figured someone should say something. They seem to have gone 5-1-1 on a 7 game road trip, which, if games are played roughly every other day, is half a month without playing in front of their own fans. (i assume they have fans, even if not too many seem to be here) Anyway, good luck to 'em!
  20. Note to self: hand out Babe Ruths this halloween.
  21. There was a blurb on NPR where a fan was explaining about being a Yankees fan while Jeter was there. Personally i think the Yankee i rooted for was Doug Mientkiewicz... who was in high school with Jeter, i think? No... Alex Rodriguez. Now there is sterling example of Yankeedom. World series will be the epitome of fair play with him on the Yankees.
