Actually, no, it was pretty good. I'm just culturally stunted. I googled blue crab, which brought up the wiki disambiguation page, and it's apparently the Maryland state crustacean. This gives added depth and resonance to a running gag i had not hitherto understood. I'm sorry i was so lazy.
