  1. The first game was a make-up from Jackie Robinson Day in April when everybody wears 42.
  2. Scoring four in the eighth works pretty well, by the way.
  3. Why do chicken coops only have two doors? Because if they had four, it would be a sedan.
  4. So, have the Twins gotten around to naming the 26th man yet? By when do they need to do that? If Littell gives the umpire a signed permission slip from Falvine on his way out to the mound, is that enough?
  5. But given that it’s the first day of vacation, and I’m in Section 109, who cares.
  6. This may be the lamest career post No. 500 in the history of Twins Daily.
  7. Yeah, that's what I was trying to say with "picked up from that spot." Thanks for confirming. It will be interesting to see if that's where they end up.
  8. Uh, look what just showed up in my Facebook feed. Too bad I'm leaving town tomorrow for a work trip.
  9. I posted a version of this question in the Game Thread, but it was in the middle of the frivolity of the comeback and nobody answered. Anybody know the answer? There is general agreement that with being originally scheduled in Rochester, Slegers was the likely call-up for the DH next Tuesday. Until last night's marathon, however. Instead, Slegers got called up and pitched well tonight. So here's my question: If Mauer was activated and Slegers sent down in the next couple days, Slegers would normally have to be down 10 days. But didn't I read somewhere that a player in his situation CAN be used as the 26th man, sent back down, and have his 10-day requirement picked up from that spot? If so, this seems like a brilliant move.
  10. You know -- we haven't had a single sweep yet. This weekend would be good.
  11. I'm not much for moral victories, but can we at least have some chicken nuggets as a snack for this one?
  12. Ya' know -- I was THIS close to saying, "If I'm Molitor, I'm tempted to pull Slegers here and let him walk away with an incredible feeling." Even so, if he finishes this inning with no more damage, he's gotta feel really good.
  13. If this goes 14, I'm not sure I'm going to make it...
  14. Can somebody help me with the 26th-man rule? In another thread, there was general agreement that with being originally scheduled in Rochester, Slegers was the likely call-up for the DH next Tuesday. If Mauer was activated and Slegers sent down in the next couple days, Slegers would normally have to be down 10 days. But didn't I ready somewhere that a player in his situation CAN be used as the 26th man, sent back down, and have his 10-day requirement picked up from that spot? If so, this seems like a brilliant move, particularly if Slegers gives us another inning or so.
  15. You can call him Ray. You can call him Ehire. You can call him Ehire A. ... But ya' doesn't have to call him Babe. Or do ya'?
  16. No problem -- folks like lots of math around here. Just keep using it and you'll get all kinds of "likes."
  17. Nah, they usually don't use him until the 9th. But he's well-rested.
  18. But how will she keep her shoes on without any laces?
  19. On the bright side, looks I'll get to bed before 12:40 my time.
