  1. I hope we dont draft Beede. Control problems scare me, I think of Shooter Hunt. Hoffman doesnt impress me either, he should more strikeouts if his stuff is so great. Also dont like Trae Turner but looks like he slide a bit down in the mock drafts. Anyone else I'm fine with thats around thats projected around the Twins slot.
  2. I have a good feeling Johnson will have a good outing tonight. Not great, but good enough to replace Pelfrey for awhile.
  3. I don't think Mauer belongs yet. I mean, have we really decided on a nickname?
  4. Dang, should of had Florimon bat. He was due
  5. We will win this game if Florimon gets a hit this inning
  6. Polanco continues to look good with his bat. Correct me if I'm wrong, but when the Twins signed this guy wasn't he supposed to be known for his defense? Seems like he kinda flip flopped.
  7. Does that count as a good inning from Pelfrey?
  8. Well can't say I'm surprised. Whenever a guy has more walks then strikeouts his stats are due for some correction.
  9. Its a good thing we got this guy in the lineup for his defense
  10. Blue Jays are known for claiming virtually everyone and trying to send them to Triple AAA.
  11. I know its small sample size and all but his numbers are trending the wrong way. Whether its lingering effects of the concussion or he's on the wrong side of his prime, hes not the valuable hitter he once was. So plucking stats from his past aren't the best, because it does not predict future success. But he is still a good player and hes home-grown.
  12. He's facing some tough SP matchups this next week. Lets see how he handles that.
  13. Pinto please be in the lineup. My fantasy team is ready.
  14. Team is just talented. Full of hard workers, guys who bring their lunch pails to work. They go and get it. Scrappy, full of heart. Never quit. Fearless. Twins Baseball.
  15. ^^^ The Twins sure do miss on their 2nd round picks. Goes to show signing a free agent who would cost them a 2nd round pick isn't the end of the world.
  16. Not a fan. He really hasnt taken the next step in the majors to be a good player imo.
  17. I know its early but Stewart isn't getting many strikeouts. The ground balls are great but should we be worried? I can't wait for the next strikeout artist to pitch for the Twins. Liriano was one but he was widly inconsistent and before that was Santana. And all I see is other organizations getting strikeout pitchers like they are growing on trees.
  18. He better get his strikeout to walk ratio reversed before I get too excited. His advanced stats are actually worse then last year.
  19. Title is incorrect, ugh. Don't know how to change it.
  20. I think he's a good player but moving to 1st base (good for longevity) hurts his case, doesn't it? Not to mention, his strikeout rate has been increasing the past few years with last year almost a 4% increase (17.5%). Dan Gladden was saying the other day on the radio, Mauer hardly strikes out. A few years ago, I would have agreed with that statement though. So what do you guys think, is his star fading?
  21. He will get his shot when injuries or poor performances occur. We don't need to rush him in there, let the younger guys play.
  22. So I read somewhere Pinto was taking grounders at first base. Can we expect to see him starting there on occasion?
