    I was patiently waiting for the game thread so I could complain about Mauer starting over Vargas. Vargas has hit lefties well in his career, while Mauer has not done much lately against them. So Mauer should be grabbing some bench.

    I read today that Doziers fly balls are down 17% so far. Doesn't look like he will come close to last years numbers. And even when he was slumped he was hitting fly balls last year, so maybe he will hit only 20 this year.
