  1. And found a hole in Ohtani's swing
  2. Hey wait--- can Molly grab a bat and pinch hit?
  3. In July, at Coors, with fences moved in, that ball is a home run
  4. Holy cow, I hope Buxton makes at least one spectacular catch this series
  5. Define "bottom" Last three guys? Last four? Last five?
  6. and as we speak, Lance Lynn is pulling fuzz out of his navel in the shower, so things are coming together
  7. Dozier did that in the Yankees series too. I don't know if he thinks he has world class sprint speed, or what.
  8. I will try an answer. Lynn was an above average guy with the Cardinals, always took the ball, but had an odd demeanor (watch some of his post game interviews baiting reporters). Cardinals had no interest in bringing him back after his arb years. I am not surprised he has the worst deal of the "big four" free agents (Arrieta, Cobb, Darvish), but I certainly am surprised it was the Twins who signed him.
  9. 2-2 pitch was not that close, 3-2 pitch was not even close
  10. Whatever happened to "too close to take" Good lord
  11. You know in Finland saunas, they.... never mind
  12. Not getting a fuzzy feeling about this one
  13. Check out this Jason Castro thread if you haven't seen it already. Sometimes I wonder whether Garver even played catcher in the minors, that's how bad he has been at times. I assume he will get better the more time he gets back there, but his instincts seem to be absent. However, the pitchers have had success when pitching to Garver. His "catcher ERA" is vastly better than Castro's so maybe he gets some credit for that, don' know. That's my short opinion. I do like his bat and not sure he'll be a three true outcome guy as you say.
  14. Castro is below replacement so far this year, and that does not take into account the Twins pitchers' ERA is nearly 2 full runs worse when they pitch to Castro than the other guys. I don't mind him making outs when he bats, but Castro needs to be markedly better in the other areas when he returns.
  15. The ball-strike calling was equally poor for both sides. Berrios needs to not let it get in his head, somehow. So, we agree.
  16. Dude, I was reading this! Repost in the blog sections so we can discuss
  17. Which could be an effect of the bush league strike zone last night, thinking he needs to throw it right down the middle.
  18. I am somewhere between "not worried" and "sorta not that worried" on Berrios. I thought he pitched great in the Yankees game, but we gave them extra outs. I thought he was fine last night but the missed calls seemed to get in his head, and the mature Angels hitters just seemed to be waiting on a couple of those breaking pitches. His next opponent is St Louis time to get ready for them.
  19. They did look like they were sitting on those curves.
