  1. I have to admit, I have never met Punto or heard him talk about baseball, other than GET PAID GET MONEY (which might be enough to get him hired)
  2. Falvey is just picking names from the StarTribune comment section at this point 🙂
  3. Also the umpires got it right
  4. I saw that too, it was a great breakdown. I was hoping he would mention how it was just a couple inches from bouncing over the fence. Second best part of the play was that it goes in the books as a ground ball—but the ball never hit the ground at any point during the play, start to finish. Best part of the play was that all of the Brewers infielders (unlike the Dodgers baserunners) knew exactly what to do once the ball came in to the infield and did not panic.
  5. Snell back out for 7th - no opinion either way 🙂
  6. here’s how it reads on MLB GameDay: Double Play Dodgers challenged (force play), call on the field was upheld: Dodgers challenged (force play), call on the field was upheld: Max Muncy grounds into a double play, center fielder Sal Frelick to shortstop Joey Ortiz to catcher William Contreras. Teoscar Hernández out at home. Will Smith out at 3rd. 3 outs
  7. Gotta admit, I don’t get why Toronto is working Varland like a mule. And I don’t get why they are carrying five starters this series.
  8. Also, Yankees lost
  9. Heard on the radio that Boone might be (now past tense since the Yankees are out) Boone might have been the best manager remaining on the AL side. Not knowing enough obviously, but probably wouldn’t argue with that on its face.
  10. jmo but it probably is… *depending, of course **yes both are horrible ***do not do either of those things
  11. Wow! Didnt think it could happen! Must have been nice to pitch to Judge in the 9th 😁
  12. That guy needed it
  13. Great call by the commentator on the Baez HR- “and now two more” as the ball is leaving the bat 🙂
  14. Number #1 overall pick, finally having his best season…. Nope! Let’s turn it over to our struggling bullpen LOL
  15. I think all these new StatCast managers go to sleep at night mulling over how they can one-up the last guy in being dumb.
  16. Unless my memory is faulty (very probable) teams used to rally from behind in these five game series more often. I am going to go out on a limb and predict that 1 of the 4 teams facing elimination comes back to win their series.
  17. Gameday says: Intentional walk to Judge with one out, no one on base. Really? Good lord
  18. Lawrence on the last Jags drive reminded me of a Tony Romo drive, right down to the last play. (botched field goal hold in that playoff game)
  19. people on the internet throw around hyperboles, but that might be one of the stupidest losses in the NFL, ever.
  20. Thats the first version I saw. What a messed up world we live in.
  21. Try as I might, I just can’t hate the Dodgers as much as I know I should. I like Betts (pro Bowler!), Freeman and Ohtani. How can you not admire Ohtani. And I cheered for them to beat the Yankees last year and they did not disappoint. I will do better!
  22. I like having a big meanie to root against … although I don’t really dislike the Dodgers as much as I should.
  23. As real as a donut— (Brad Pitt in a great final scene in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood - a flick that rewrites the Manson murders)
  24. Yeah I just read about that and am wondering too. KOC may not have had a good angle. And it stayed end over end. Some kicks do fly in a fade, but not like that sharp. Someone somewhere should have noticed and pulled the alarms.
  25. Update: he just pitched the 7th, and threw 7 straight changeups to retire the first two hitters. Then threw change, change, and fastball to strike out the last guy. I dunno, man….
