    A note on mistakes and errors and goofs and dumb things: Molitor and his pitching coach do seem to be having positive effects already. Most of the mistakes aren't from overthinking, but just the opposite -- full rambunctiousness. I'd rather have big mistakes from going full speed to timidity errors. Just sayin'.

    Nunez is our Ted Williams. They're the only two guys in MLB whose batting average goes down after a 2-for-5 night. Oh, and think of runway models like NASCAR. Both are built for speed, not comfort. They aren't really anything like the stuff us peons are stuck with.

    Couldn't stay awake last night. Reading last night's thread and box score, I was pleasantly surprised to see that we scored five runs after two outs. Dogs and cats are sleeping together. Oh, also a favor to ask of the tech savvy mods: Could you put art in the circle thingy of some circus scene or Mickey Dolenz (he was Circus Boy on the TV show in the 1950s) or Charlton Heston from "The Greatest Show on Earth." If not possible, that's fine. I'll pay whatever you want.

    Not your fault, Mr. Jerr. It's all on me. I only heard the 4-run inning as I was coming home from work, realized this was a good sign from the baseball gods, and so resolved not to watch the game or follow it on the interwebs. Turns out the gods wanted me to follow along after all. Fickle bunch. Disaster ensued. Mea culpa to all.
