  1. I love a center fielding Buxton, but not happy if he doesn't get back on the field soon. IL him until he is (if ever) able to do that. So far his contract looks wasted as to what he is paid to do. At DH he still needs to run and sorry, but with his injury history, just as likely to get hurt.
  2. Not a good analogy.
  3. Seems every time we get a lead and then gives it back. I've had enough, by-bye.
  4. I'm starting to think CC's signing may become the worst ever by the Twins. I'm thinking the 2 teams that passed him back to the Twins, saw what the Twins didn't.
  5. Ok, I hope to see some life/hits/runs from the Twins today, but I'm not going to hold my breath for it.
  6. It will soon be Sano Who, he's done being a Twin. So much potential talent that never came to be.
  7. We have him and I think all the posts re: "it's just for a year" are wrong. Let's enjoy that we really have a shortstop and a good one!
  8. Same here at 69 and in my youth I could name the rosters of teams. Those days are sadly long gone.
  9. I wish him all the best, but I will miss him! Class act guy from day one!!!!
  10. LOVE the Parker video!!! WELL DONE!!!
  11. Trade or no trade, it's been a great year and really exciting to see all the postings on trading day deadline!!! I hope they find a good deal, but I'm more excited about the excitement all this season for the Twins!!
  12. Just no to Greinke, too much $$$ and I remember all the "complaining" on our local hero as to his contract. Give me younger and up and coming pitchers over a guy that is on his downside.
  13. Got to love how he secures the ball on the way down. The Turtle is a Baller!!!
  14. As David HK said: "All those dingers! Wow, it harkens me back to those mid-60's daze of being a young pre-schooler, when I first was aware of the Twins, in those Killer, Tony O, Bob Allison, Jimmy Hall days, when everybody in the lineup was knocking dongs right and left!" I was 8 yrs. old when the Twins came and the Vikings arrived in 1961. Baseball was THEE sport to follow !!! Those Twins in the 60's, were a HR machine. So many great memories!!! And some how, the Twins of 2019 are making those days return. Dinger after dinger after dinger! So much fun this year and feeling like an 8 yr. old again!!!
  15. We need "translation" for this thread. My finger is tired of "copy, paste, post" to translate. Only to find some of posts for those "German" words, lead only to this thread. But, as someone said, an "an interesting thread".
  16. Be fun to see the "most commented on articles". Plenty of time before Spring Training to make that happen.
  17. So many memories of a great ballplayer and man, so glad he went out, leaving us wanting more! Looking forward to his #7 being retired this coming season and his statue, hopefully in a catchers gear and crouch Happy for him going out with his health and for all the memories, he has given us! Gonna miss seeing him play, but the time was right!
  18. I'm hoping that Rocco will light the fire under this team. Molitor was too laid back for my taste and players made too many base running and fielding errors. Get him those missing links, on the team and light the desire to never quit, on the players. Best of luck Rocco and the Twins for next season. Could be an exciting off season, for us Twins fans, this Winter.
  19. Twins press conference at 3 pm on WCCO, any chance they name the new guy???
