  1. Yeah, what he said. though, down to three now.
  2. I checked for the "groan" sound effect on the site, but, unfortunately, there isn't one.
  3. Come on Stewart, put the ball across the plate. Yeesh. 5 pitches, 1 strike and 1 walk. Uggh.
  4. Mauer empties the bases and then, Polanco proceeds to get right back on a base. The nerve!
  5. Whew. I was able to shrink the type face. I think you got your point across.
  6. - Real or fake Christmas tree? Fake //hangs head in shame Fake? Really? I hereby banish you from the curmudgeon club. Talk about breaking unwritten rules!
  7. Most overrated fast-casual restaurant? Olive Garden, by far. Decorative pillows? I'm good with it, as long as someone else is making the bed. Best furniture to take a nap on? I'm not all that choosy. Though, at my height, the love seat is a bit short. Best hair in baseball. Chin or Head? Chin, probably Keuchel. Head? Was Dozier but now? Not sure. Real tree by an avalanche.
  8. I questioned the Castro signing until he went down. Castro may have shortcomings with the lumber but he made the rest look easy. Found out quickly just how short the Twins are at the catcher position.
  9. I was referring to the players on the field, not taking a personal shot at you, though I can see how it might have played out that way. Sorry about that.
  10. All grousing and hind sight aside, when you look at the surprise that is the Oakland A's and the disappointment that is the Twins, it just goes to show how many things have to go right in order for a team to contend. Conversely, when a perfect storm of injuries and lack of production come along, it's very difficult for a team to overcome.
  11. Not quite an apt comparison. It's hard to respect work production when the production isn't there.
  12. Yes, but is that the responsibility of the CEO or the department head?
  13. I'm going to toss this out there: What the FO does with the 40 man this off-season should tell us a lot. If it's cleaned up and players let go that have no business being on the 40 man, then good. Otherwise, yeah.
  14. The organization doesn't care about the players? The organization under the new regime looked at what happened last year and, in the off-season, rewarded the team by going out and spending money on free agent acquisitions, which, from I read, was greeted with enthusiasm by the clubhouse. Something the FO has been loathe to do in the past. Yet, the players brought in by Ryan didn't respond and step up. Also, key players, players that were brought in by the previous FO, have struggled at the MLB level. Sorry, this whole, "the organization doesn't care about the players" crap is another way to avoid the obvious: The players on the field aren't getting the job done.
  15. I want to know how Bremer managed to not laugh as he mentioned "the Twins will be looking for revenge after getting swept by the Yankees." I know I laughed when I heard that.
  16. And this is important how? (gave up on the Vikings and the NFL in general years ago)
  17. Queue musical response:
  18. and "battles his tail off..."
  19. And therein lies another mystery: why was Giminez even traded for?
  20. Well, I'm trying to understand why the Twins have Gimenez at all.
  21. Quiet and he seems to be able to catch that high fastball that seems to get by Garver at times. Kid is built like a nose tackle, though. Sort of along the lines of the Rodriguez brothers.
  22. This is my first look at Astudillo behind the plate and I like what I see so far. Anyone else have anything other than, "not Mitch Garver?"
  23. I don't believe I'll be back in time to post lineups. Have a good one, people! Be safe out there!
