I think Molitor knows he needs another starter and cannot burn up the bullpen at the drop of a hat. It's a long season. So, the decision may have sort of been forced on him.
I think Gibson has been a little snake bit this game. That Hardy double was a fluke. The non-double play and Castro dropping the ball didn't help either.

Morris has been pretty good. He's grumbling and growling about Gibson because he thinks Gibson has the stuff to be better than he is. I find it hard to disagree. The reaction by Gibson to the run he gave up showed me someone who needs to learn to shake things off. Gibson probably knows his career is on the line and isn't coping with the pressure.
Yeah, much as I'd like Castro to have hung onto the throw by Buxton I have to admit Hardy hit that ball square right up the middle. Probably lucky Hardy didn't put it over the fence.
