  1. Could be worse, could be "Trudeau."
  2. I always like it when the game thread is up long before the game starts. It means I have time to get in a pre-game nap. The pre-game warmup is crucial to the serious fan.
  3. For me, Mr. Nolasco had two things working against him: 1. He pitched poorly, at best. and 2. He really didn't seem like he wanted to pitch for the Twins. I'm glad Mr. Nolasco has turned things around early in the season.
  4. The Twins pounded the Brewers? Huh?
  5. Last time I saw that look on a Brewer hitter was when Roy Smith threw an almost identical slow curve in the same spot. Good job, Mr, Abad.
  6. This is getting old. The Twins are probably leading the league in baserunners and leading the league in lack of runs scored.
  7. Nolasco hit that one a long way. He must have learned from those hitting his pitches. Although, Ricky kept his in the park.
  8. Yeah, but you have to admit, a 12 ERA is bad even by Nolasco standards.
  9. Oh great, Bert just mentioned that Nolasco does not pitch particularly well at Miller Park. 12 ERA or some such. Wow.
  10. Yeah the strike zone issue is where the lack of professional at-bats is hurting. None of this excuses Arcia's blunders in the outfield, however. Nor does it excuse Dozier not running out the ground ball. As much as I'd like to rip Twins pitching, the schizophrenic strike zone, coupled with poor defense, just cannot be overlooked in the whole mess.
  11. Watching the game last night, I saw a Twins pitcher clearly catch, and Foxtracks backed it up, the low outside corner of the plate. (I don't remember which pitcher) If memory serves, that missed call, and it wasn't really even close, lead to a walk or maybe a run. Just one example.
  12. I've seen a couple of things things happening that I think are affecting the Twins. One of which I'm not sure can be fixed. It looks to me like the strike zone has been wildly inconsistent. An inconsistent strike zone along with pitchers who need to hit their spots and get consistent calls is a recipe for disaster. Couple an inconsistent zone with inexperienced players who don't know how or are not coached to take professional at bats and I see a recipe for disaster. Obviously, I'm not excusing pitchers throwing belt-high fastballs. However, when they're not getting calls it makes things tough.
  13. In other words, the same stuff the Twins took before the game tonight?
  14. I don't mind losses as long as the team plays well. That's why I was able to stomach the early losing streak. This is downright ugly.
  15. Well, at least this loss was a team effort. Granted, they've yet to lose..but, I'll start the epitaph anyway.
  16. I'm sorry, could you repeat that? I couldn't hear you......
  17. The Twins are getting pounded by, what is, at best, a mediocre team.
  18. I think the Twins may get to bat in the next couple of years. I think. What can I say? I'm an optimist.
  19. Boyer is warming up. The Twins may have a chance!
  20. Great, Arcia took the AB into the field with him. Wow.
  21. Yeah, pretty much my thought. I don't understand, though. Arcia was taking professional at bats. Somewhere, that went away the last couple of games.
  22. Obviously, I do not have the same psychic ability as chitown.
  23. Okay, so, Sano goes opposite...wall.
