  1. I wonder what happens with Duffey? Can the Twins send him down and then DL him? Or does he stay with the MLB club on the DL? (with the way that ball hit Duffey, I would be surprised if Duffey avoids the DL.)
  2. Seriously? Lucas? You do know the Brits have a running joke about Lucas Electrics, right? Everyone who owns or has owned a British car has not so fond memories of their electrical systems. Of course, it is Chicago, so, I suppose anything is possible.
  3. Sano is looking versatile. Right field, third base. What's next? Short? (Sano at short would be awesome)
  4. Pfft, easy to correct, get bigger dogs, like a Great Pyrenees. The Great Pyr eats coyotes for lunch.
  5. Nah, just the occasional rattlesnake, coyote and exploding meth lab.
  6. I've been to Chicago.. I seem to recall there being a lot of people. I wound up walking around on the top of a hotel roof during that trip. Yes, alcohol was involved.
  7. Yep, you found out, it's actually Zombie Buck Owens on Twins Daily. Anyway, no, Bakersfield is not close to the desert, it is in the desert. However, less than an hour from here, there are areas that can get enough snow to close roads for the winter.
  8. I decided to find out what this what's on your mind things is all about.

  9. Central Valley of CA. It's flyover country for the rest of CA.
  10. Fun fact: It is warmer in MN than where I am in California.
  11. And I'll bet that story has been repeated by the guys you bowled with many times over the years. Who cares about good? Memorable is where it's at.
  12. Okay, Duffey's pitch count has climbed in the first inning, though he did escape the trouble he was in. I'm not sure about this game. I may go back to working on my computer and editing grub so I'm not trying to boot so many flavors of Linux.
  13. The best part about bowling? It's the crash of the ball into the back wall. If the ball hits a few pins along the way, so much the better.
  14. Shoot, I would like to see Meyer. I guess Duffey coming up is due to rotation location?
  15. Oddly enough, this turned out to be true. However, our pitchers forgot about the rest of the lineup.
  16. Hmm, seems like having to work when the game started, travel time home, chores upon arrival home along with going out to dinner have all conspired together to let me miss something that was good to miss. I did, however, get to see Mr. Sano make a couple of nice running catches. The one in the corner was pretty darn good.
  17. Honestly, I don't know hoppy from bouncy. I only know that beer should not come out the same color it went in.
  18. I never claimed I was a Harper fan. Politicians, by their very nature, are power mad tyrants who know how to buy the votes, I mean, gull the masses into voting them into office. As for buying, only if I get to choose the beer or whiskey. I'm not about to buy some Canadia equivalent of the "Champagne of Bottled Beers." It's stout or nothing!! (okay, okay, if you run across a decent Bock, I might let it slide.)
  19. Good grief, that band is what would happen if Bob Dylan and Neil Young were somehow magically fused.
  20. The news about Colabello disappoints me. I really thought he was a stand-up guy too. As for his statement, well, Lance Armstrong denied cheating and still lied after being caught. We've heard it all before. And, Twins fans really cannot throw stones, because our very own Ervin Santana missed 80 games last year for, yep, you guessed it, a PED suspension. Oddly enough, Mr. Santana also had no idea how he wound up with PED's in his system.
  21. Ah, still in the honeymoon period, I see. Well, you guys are known for your rose coloured glasses.
