  1. Uh, closer to hemorrhaging. And, Unfortunately for the Twins, they're bleeding out so fast, the doctors are about to give up.
  2. I like the way you held back. Shows restraint.
  3. No matter which way the wind goes, the stinkyness of the Twins follows...
  4. Bad overturn. There has to be definitive evidence and I don't think there was. But, I'm not an expert or anything.
  5. And some cheap bases. Though on that stellar defensive play by Dozier, I saw something I've never seen: A runner setting a pick on the second baseman.
  6. Serious question: are the Twins on a pace to break the all-time record?
  7. But what is the record for runs given up in the 1st inning in the course of a season?
  8. If the Twins win tonight, would it be the first series sweep at home this year?
  9. Honestly, I'm not nitpicking. I had a couple of very close friends, father and son, who were Type 1's. I grew up with the son and the family, and, well, all of us are/were very close. For a long time, I thought diabetes was easily controlled, just take your shots and you're good. It wasn't until later I found out what both the father and son went through to control their diabetes. Kohl Stewart has a special doctor just for his diabetes. More than likely, Stewart is on a severely regimented diet and has to watch everything he eats and when he eats. In fact, there may have been an article that touched on Kohl Stewart's regimen. Maybe there are not any known "health issues" currently, however, I would contend with everything Mr. Stewart has to do in order to "control" his diabetes, he does have health issues. The draft is risky business to begin with and this seems like even more risk. Risk the Twins should not have taken, especially in light of everything that has come out regarding the organization.
  10. Type 1 diabetes is incredibly hard to manage. It may not be a problem now and it may never be a problem. I just put it under the heading of unnecessary risk. Couple the risk associated with Type 1 with the Twins FO and that particular draft pick doesn't give me the warm fuzzies. Quite the opposite.
  11. Were I managing the Sox, I had have Morneau in the lineup days maybe even weeks before playing the Twins.
  12. I get the Kohl Stewart shot. The Twins took a huge chance drafting a Type 1 diabetic with their first pick. And with everything that's starting to show up with scouting/player development, it may have been an unnecessary risk coupled with a poor decision.
  13. All of this weight talk reminds me of Ray Miller. I seem to recall he was after Hrbek, and maybe a couple of others, to lose a few pounds. Even put up a weight chart and all.
  14. I thought the walk-off win celebration was ridiculous, but, semi-excused it because it didn't last that long on the field. However, had I realized it continued for a while, well, that would definitely changed my opinion. That kind of extended celebration for the teams 17th win wasn't just embarrassing, it was downright foolish. And where was Molitor to put the brakes on the extended celebration? Does the man have any control over the clubhouse at all? And I really don't see the extended clubhouse celebration happening under Gardy.
  15. Baseball writers always know more than they let on. Ruesse is merely letting Strib readers in on that which TD readers have been aware of for the last couple of months. I know writers have to keep some stuff to themselves because they need continued access. Anyway, if Reusse is ripping the Twins in the Strib then change is in the works. No way he blasts the Twins like this without an editorial and Twins owners wink and nod, because, again, Reusse needs access so he can do his job.
  16. Let me see, the Twins are now 18-40. So, if the Twins can go (lessee, subtract 58 from 162, carry the 0, divide by i and multiply by 6,000) 72-32 the rest of the season, they probably make the playoffs. On another note, the White Sox are getting pounded. They're about to drop below .500.
  17. Late to the thread. Our pooch is having a rough time coming out of anesthesia. And she's not exactly a teacup dog, either.
  18. I caught Dozier going opposite field shortly after Plouffe went yard. Unfortunately, though, Nolasco just had to be Nolasco.
  19. Thought: Move Tonkin, Pressley and May into the starting rotation and move the starters, Nolasco, Hughes and Dean into the bullpen. Might as well, as they're going to wind up pitching anyway.
