Yeah, I have to go with Grossman being the odd man out. It's really unfortunate because he's really done a good job with the bat and he's definitely a serviceable fielder.

    Not sure, could be me.

Somewhere in there there is a Granite-Prudential-Rock-Insurance theme.

    Uh, NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Blake
Well, that was an interesting inning.

Sure it's not due to the matchup?

    With every purchase?

"Rhyme of the Ancient Colon" Yeah, has a ring to it, doesn't it?

Sorry, not buying this, at all. Youth has been well served on this team and it's time to stop bringing in the aging veteran types. Yeah, a couple of veterans are needed on almost any club but Colon is a veteran and a half. No thanks.

If you look on the front page of TD, there's an article titled: "Twins Sign Ancient Pitcher to Minor League Contract." I suspect the writer of the article isn't a fan of the signing.

Every once in a while, I use the mlb.tv archive and watch the 9th inning of that game. Still makes me smile.

    Probably only the third circle.

Dear Twins FO; I would like to point out recent events that have taken place at Target field. Please notice who has taken a 6 run deficit and turned it into a 3 run lead. Yes, it is the youngsters. And one of the youngsters relieved a youngster who was struggling and kept the Orioles from further scoring. Please, please, please, do not bring up Colon. This is not acceptable and is a regression from the current direction of the young talent. Sincerely, Blake

You're being generous. It looked to me like it was about 4" from being a home run.

I can hardly wait for Boshers or Belisle. Should be quite the ride.

I wouldn't call it unscathed so much as survived.

I think I'll say it again: This young core is something else.

Trevor Hildenberger for the starting rotation! Maybe the next Cy Young! Actually, I'll settle for an ERA under 4 and a 6 inning per start average....

So, it wasn't just me that thought Buxton was put in a position where he pretty much thought he had to swing. That ball wasn't just a little outside. Good grief.

Love the way Giminez took one for the team.

Had I been attending your presentation, I'd have raised my hand and asked "Are you sure about that?"* *not the first time I've done such a thing, either.

After watching a video of Colon run to second after hitting a double I have to wonder if the man can field his position any more. Can someone please tell the FO signing Colon is the opposite of a youth movement? Might as well bring Hawkins out of retirement.
