It might take a while for them to progress enough to contend. I see 2016-2017 as the years that they put it all together for a solid decade long run. Free agents are an after-thought. Maybe just DH to start? Still, very exciting to get him off the DL. I think he might struggle early but I can't wait to see him continue his career. Now Roberts has to get off the DL.

If not now, when??? Maybe if Pelfrey is released??? Gibson might be at his innings limit by then. Hopefully he would be called up before DeVries or Albers, but who knows. Maybe Blackburn lol

Another missed oppurtunity by the Twins?

At the end of the day, how much would it cost to get him to be a MN twin??? What makes anybody think he would want to come here. Even if the Twins matched the contract, why would he choose MN over a Championship contender?? It would have cost the Twins 20mil a season, which is way too much. The pitchers that would come to MN via free agency are the Correia-Pelfrey types. This will change once the Twins start winning. Hopefully soon!! -

The Twins rarely move people quickly through the minors. Especially if they are young. The Twins recently moved up two infielders, Petterson and Hanson. No Rosario or Sano. My point is that for every Arcia there are two Pirdie's. You sound like one of those fans who think that success at one level means instant success at the next. That is why I gave the examples of Parmelee and Hendriks.

Most of them are in A to A+ ball. Some may be up in two years but most of them will be 3-4yrs. It might take them a while to adjust. So, 5-6yrs from now we will know. Most won't be that good. Parmelee and Hendriks kill in AAA but struggle in the show. We may be looking at only 4-5 prospects making it all the way. I hope that most of them make it to Target Field but injuries and busts happen all the time.
