  1. Judging by tonight's game...real well if he could get the Indianapolis pitchers to throw to him! 2 HRs, a single & a line out to deep center. 5 RBI's.
  2. Sano another DINGER! 3 run HR,
  3. Sano a single & he just went yard! 2 RBI's. Only 2 hits for Rochester.
  4. Colabello 2 dingers tonight in first 2 at bats. Move him UP Ryan!
  5. They brought Gibson up. That's good IMHO, but not if they don't let him pitch. I thought he was going to throw tonight but MLB shows Walters starting.
  6. Great report. It's really hard to tell that he's your nephew. ;-)
  7. There's a chance Kohl Stewart will be better than Walter Johnson and a chance that Buck will be better than Trout. If you just must bet one of these make it the second .
  8. Cola bello with 2 hits today has raised his average to 370 w/61 RBI's and 18 dingers. There is no reason the Twins do not call him up and get him some ML time.
  9. They need to sit him for a game or two. Let him get his head together. He isn't just not hitting, he's looking very, very badly doing so. I watched the last 3 or 4 games (MILB) and he has struck out a bunch on slow pitches in the dirt where he's just flailing. his fly outs have not been line drives. No doubt he'll get over this, but he sure is struggling now.
  10. This will tell us much of we need to know. The Florida State League is not known as a hitter's league. From all reports he's got an amazing attitude and soaks up the teaching like a sponge. If he can pull an Arcia/Rosario/Sano he might really fast track. Remember last year at this time Arcia was also in Fort Myers. You never know how these young guys will adjust and I am not predicting that Buck will tear up the league...but he just might be that 1 in 10-20 year player. It's a great time to be a twins fan, innit? One thing, if he get's off to a crazy fast start, how nuts will this board get?
  11. Sano is not yet adjusting well at all. I am fully confident that he will, but it hasn't shown itself yet. He's batting around .171 and striking out at better than a 37% clip. He has 2 errors in 11 games. He had difficulty the beginning of the second half of last year when he went into the toilet for a while before coming back. It just may be that he is one of those who presses as he moves up and takes a while to re-adjust to the pitchers after they initially adjust to him. Never the less he is the real deal and "El Rey" will come around soon...count on it.
  12. If he is a legitimate "middle of the rotation" pitcher he will be the ace of our staff. Welcome aboard, Kyle.
  13. Let's hope Buck moves up more smoothly than Sano has done. I watched (via MILB) the New Britain games this week end and, in spite of a few hits, Sano really appeared to be lost. Today, in particular he looked like he had no idea of either the strike zone or what was coming. I am still confident he'll get it together, but it's been difficult.
  14. How about this. Sano tripled in extra innings to knock in 2. Both Sano & Buxton triple on same night. Can hardly wait for this to happen in Target Field.
  15. Terrific night for Buxton in front of Ryan. Single, walk, stolen base (and run), K and a triple. The triple was in the gap but quickly back into the infield. He slid into third about six feet ahead of the throw. This kid can flat out motor.
  16. Buxton single, stolen base & run in first inning. Base so easily stole didn't even get a throw.
  17. Walters has walked in 4 runs. In the meantime let's keep Gibson down on the farm.
  18. 2-3 today with a triple. What the he** are the Twins doing, holding this kid back like this? Jeeze!
  19. Someone else posted somewhere, I couldn't find it, that the twins will space Sano & Buxton to avoid them arriving at free agency at the same time.
  20. Tough time to be a 24 year old hitting .265 in the Twin's minor league system right now. Or to be number 38-40 on the ML roster.
  21. Great move by the Twins. Acknowledgement that sometimes you just have to recognize some talent exceeds your "normal" plans. My guess is that Buxton moves now, too. Unless, of course, they plan to jump him 2 places after the all star break.
  22. Sano out of the line up tonight. Something up? Sure hope he didn't fail to run out another grounder.
  23. Just hope the Twins can afford to pay him as much as the Aggies will.
