  1. You're absolutely right as it's not Rocco's fault that they only score 6 runs in one of the most hitter friendly ballparks in MLB. I do start to wonder if the team has tuned him out and just collecting paychecks, specifically Correa and Buxton, who are supposed to be leading this team.
  2. I've been consistent that I don't believe that Rocco can lead a younger team (Twins are the 8th youngest in MLB). His most successful was 2019 when it was mainly veterans playing. His attitude of just letting the players do what is comfortable to them doesn't always work out.
  3. That's what I surmised when Wallner came up in the 8th and I thought Buxton could have PH for him.
  4. Just happy that France saved that ball from going into the dugout. Still can dream they can get out of this inning.
  5. Great job by Varland! It is possible for a reliever to go more than 1 inning in a close game!
  6. I guess Buxton can't swing a bat. Would have liked to see him PH for Wallner there.
  7. I guess if Altuve is in pain, he can't run as fast for that double play.
  8. We won't have to worry about how Tito will handle the same situation in Cincinatti. He let Tuesday's starter, Abbott, pitch a complete game en route to a 1-0 victory over the Guardians with 110 pitches thrown.
  9. When you need every out you can get from your starters to keep the bullpen going. As I said with Joe Ryan yesterday, the kid has deserved a chance to go further.
  10. Got to give Sim props. He is giving the Twins what they need today. Now it's time for the hitters to pretend they are awake.
  11. Must be tired of GIDP's. Don't worry C4. I'm tired of watching you GIDP's as well.
  12. Watching the Saints game now. and it looks like they scratched Keirsey Jr right before the game started. That may be our answer to who is taking Lewis's place on the active roster.
  13. I would certainly hope so, but I can also see the ML club panicking like they did the last time and bring him back up too fast again.
  14. Oh good. Another lefty for tomorrow. The Ghost of Jamie Moyer will ride again!
  15. I agree. I seemed confused as well, but that is what Audra reported in the post-game.
  16. Lewis officially on the 10-day IL. Claim it's in a different spot and not as bad as his earlier hamstring injury. Probably for the best as maybe they will let him recover fully before coming back to the team.
  17. And now we turn to SWR to keep us from a sweep in Houston. SWR did have a great performance last season on a Sunday afternoon in Houston, but that was last year.
  18. You can ask them about putting beans in their chili while you're at it.
  19. 12 of 22 pitches were strikes and I bet half of those strikes were swing and misses by Twins hitters out of the zone.
  20. That's right Rocco. Go back to the dugout! Let Ryan win or lose the game. He's deserved it.
  21. Great. The wheels are literally falling off. Lewis coming out of the game with an apparent hamstring pull the way he pulled up.
  22. But it will be a salary dump so they'll take anything. Then try to reload in the offseason with scrap heap pickups.
