    I don't think Funderburk is the problem. I have more hope in Funderburk having a future with the team long term than Banda or Rogers. Given the state of the bullpen, usage wise, a fresh arm needed to be brought in and Funderburk is one of the few relievers who has options. My real hope is that Funderburk does his work in St. Paul, focuses his command, and comes back after the minimum stint to replace Banda. For reference, here is the state of the bullpen going into a bullpen game. Adams looks like he will be the bulk guy and then our next most rested reliever is Topa. Unfortunately, Fundy drew the short straw.

    Funderburk gets sent down to make room for Rojas. Hopefully Funderburk can find the strike zone in St. Paul.

    It's definitely a great win since tomorrow is going to be a tough game from the pitching side. Current starter is our old reliable pitcher with initials TBD.

    Buxton hit a long fly ball in the 11th that hit off the wall. He gawked at the ball out of the box like he hit a HR and when it bounced off the wall, he cruised into second. I'm not sure if he would have been able to make it to 3rd on the play, but it looked bad to watch the ball out of the box and then have to hustle.

    That's what I thought. He watched that ball too long and then cruised into 2nd. Could have been a different situation if he had been running the entire time.

    I guess I'm going to ask since I don't know. I would wonder why we did not test Fry's arm since he is not their regular catcher. I know it doesn't matter now, but I wondered this in the 10th as well.

    Win or lose. The two things that have been struggling this year have done their jobs. Pitching and defense.

    We get to see Cleveland's newest acquisition come into the game for Manfred ball. Bell will be at second, likely subbed by Outman.

    If for nothing else, this should allow enough time to get Orze warmed up to come into the game.

    It looked like Joe Ryan held his breath a little bit when Lewis was calling for the ball. It almost looked like Lewis didn't see it right away.
