  1. How close is Sands from being back? Is it possible that they would send someone down tomorrow for a spot starter, then replace that person with Sands the next day?
  2. That's what I was going to say as well. That pitch was nearly a foot above the strike zone. You don't exactly think you're going to give up a HR with a pitch that high.
  3. It would be interesting to see his pitch speeds at the end of the game. I think he may be overcooking his pitches. Throwing them too hard may cause his off-speed not to break as much as it should. That could be from the extra rest he was given compared to where he should have likely started after the ASB.
  4. I had thought that if we split this series, we would still be ok to make a push for the trade deadline. Splitting this series really depended on Ryan giving a good outing, which isn't happening tonight.
  5. Didn't he go on the IL almost immediately after that start as well?
  6. I knew I should have put up a bet line on the date that the Twins will give up a first HR of the season to a player. I'm pretty sure I could have made money by now.
  7. I watched the Cleveland RF pull a Keaschall and got too close to the ball and it bounced away from him. 🙂
  8. Early thought: Rackley is giving Ryan a much more generous strike zone than he is giving Bibee tonight. Similar pitch locations are being called different.
  9. Gave Lee a triple on that one. Official scorers are very generous now.
  10. You can put the tv on mute and use the radio part of MLB.TV subscription and listen to the Cleveland broadcast
  11. Should be a good night for Ryan if Rackley keeps giving him that pitch.
  12. Not sure I would go that far. Better form of lousy is probably closer to the truth.
  13. That is a season total. This should be a better idea of how it's been the last week.
  14. Guess what?? The Twins bullpen has an under 5.00 ERA! Optimism abounds!
  15. Mirror, Mirror on the wall. Who is the biggest loser of them all? 😉
  16. I hate to bring this up, but Culpepper is a RH batter. Although I think Kreidler, even RH, would be the better player than Gray. You know how much the Twins LOVE their platoon splits.
  17. If you like Canadian football, we finally scored a single to get on the scoreboard.
  18. THIS. If we had done a better job in the offseason piecing this team together, Kreidler likely isn't on the team. As the team currently stands, he is the best option we have for SS. Maybe that mouse pictured above has a spare SS in his pocket that we can borrow. We are all expecting Culpepper to be the answer. I think he still has to pass the biggest ability: Availability.
  19. And avoided the shutout and since we are still behind by 9 runs. My Kody Clemens appearance is still possible.
  20. As I recall, we were chasing a division crown and were supposed to be serious playoff contenders in 2024. You want to talk about long-term track records. I'm looking at how they are playing in the moment. Seems like Kreidler is currently the better player than Farmer was being on a team that was supposed to be chasing a WS chance.
  21. Kreidler is the type of player that has always been in the Twins system. Whether it was Farmer, Astudillo, Punto, or Denny Hocking if you want to go back that far. A scrappy player that doesn't put up great numbers but is a dog out in the field and typically gives quality AB's. None of those players were ever going to be All-Stars of HOF. They're the little guy everyone loves to root for. Many people were saying the same thing about Clemens last year and, as of now, that has turned out ok. Willi Castro was a FA signing seemingly out of baseball until Rocco called him. These players are exciting to watch. Finally, we need to root for him since he is the current best option we have at the position. Don't @ me about Culpepper. Let's see if he stays healthier longer than Czar Nicholas II's son with hemophilia first before we crown him the second coming.
  22. Going into this series. I was expecting one win. If we split against Cleveland, that would put us two games off of .500 with the A's and KC coming up. That still seems doable to be sniffing around at the deadline.
  23. Zebby really needs to have a long chat with Ober on how to pitch for weak contact. He does not seem to have an out pitch. If I remember correctly, he never really has had an out pitch.
  24. Travis Adams. Maybe Kody Clemens later in the game.
