  1. Falvey is the absolute master of using way too many words to say absolutely nothing of substance. Case in point... “It’s just making sure no one runs away from the work that is right in front of him, and Rocco is not running away from any of the work. … We’re all side by side with him, as is the staff and as our core players,” Falvey told Hayes. “We’re trying to figure it out together.” It's the end of June. The time for figuring things out was in spring training. And how would one even 'run away' from the work - resign, quit? It's just complete nonsense. While Rocco's on the front line for criticism, and some of it justified, Falvey's decisions are probably more responsible for the Twins' failures than Rocco's managing.
  2. It isn't just the pitching pipeline... This team has had Jonah Bride, Kody Clemens, and DaShawn Kiersey on the big league roster for much of the season. Julien and Miranda may not make it back to the majors. Wallner looks like he's headed down the same path as those two guys. Overall, this has been a systemic failure in terms of drafting, player development, roster building, etc.. In some respects, Falvey's done a better job with the pitching than he has the position players and that is absolutely terrifying.
  3. It's almost impossible to root for this team.
  4. It's ironic that he had that discussion and proceeded to jumpstart Ober's night with an error.
  5. If you think about it, Correa went to the front office and complained about lack of fundamentals and attention to detail. He then proceeded to go out and commit an error that lost the game. Nonetheless, when players start going over the manager's head, it's dead man walking time. Guaranteed that Correa didn't have that conversation without the blessing of the rest of the team. Firing Rocco won't fix everything but it will likely fix something...which is better than nothing.
  6. Yup. Twins need someone with that personality. Too much Minnesota nice.
  7. Come on, Bailey. Don't go off the rails here.
  8. Arozarena looks like he is ready to kill someone.
  9. Lee seems to be figuring it out...which is important when you consider the number of hitters that have come up the last 2 seasons and regressed.
  10. You never know when the next winning, or losing, streak will start. I don't think anyone thought winning the series in Boston would jumpstart the season the way it did. Similarly, I don't think anyone thought that the blowout loss in Oakland would be the start of a tailspin. But, this is such a joyless and lifeless team right now and aside from the winning streak, this has been the Twins MO since that late August game in Texas last season. I don't see a light at the end of the tunnel. I see more painful losses and falling further behind in the standings. I guess the only solace is that hitting rock bottom will likely lead to sweeping changes - the same ones that should have happened in 2024.
  11. Time for the Twins to get a divorce from their Bride. Just awful.
