  1. That uppercut swing rejuvenated Bell last year but now it looks like a problem...
  2. Is Morneau on the broadcast? He's going to have a field day with the weather breakdowns!
  3. When Taj runs into trouble, it is usually via the home run ball so those winds are ominous.
  4. Old friend, Griffin Jax, headed for the rotation. Interesting move... https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2026/05/rays-building-up-mason-englert-griffin-jax-as-rotation-options.html
  5. Somewhat related to the question but not necessarily, Skubal hits the IL. Elbow surgery. 'Loose bodies'. Makes those games slightly more 'winnable'.
  6. For the folks saying SWR would work in the bullpen, I'm curious as to why - he doesn't have an out pitch and there's little to no swing and miss in his arsenal of pitches. You can say that for the Twins' current group of relievers. He can go multiple innings so there's that, but that still strikes me as a low leverage arm rather someone that can be counted on in a big spot.
  7. And I'm bummed for SWR. Really thought he turned a corner late last summer and he has the right mentality on the mound. Just not sure the talent / stuff is there for prolonged success either in the rotation or bullpen.
  8. Not sure what's going to happen with SWR. I can see a world where Festa and Zebby become reliable high-leverage bullpen arms. But...SWR doesn't have the velocity or swing and miss ability - his stuff in the pen, at least to me, seems similar to a lot of what of the Twins currently have.
  9. And 'going for it' had a likely ceiling of 75-80 wins.
  10. I agree with you but the Twins don't have me convinced that they've seen the light...
  11. Jays going up 5-4 and seeing Lou striking out the side would just be so fitting.
  12. His mechanics are a mess. His legs don't really move when he swings. This is going back to early 2024 when he got hurt. Sadly, I think the ship has sailed on Royce and the Twins. He's a change of scenery candidate.
  13. Who is the other guy on the broadcast with Morneau? Is that Dexter Fowler?
