  1. Guards just keep winning close games. Gotta lose one eventually, right?
  2. Definitely think it's a back issue for Buck. Was walking gingerly after that at bat.
  3. Pablo looks much more confident with a lead. He was jittery at the start. Not what you necessarily want from your ace though.
  4. Larnach swing was really bad. That pitch started low and stayed there.
  5. Willi and Larnach have to stop swinging at crap that starts out of the strike zone and stays there.
  6. Agreed. If they lose this one, it won't be because of the line up decisions.
  7. SWR was masterful on Saturday night. He doesn't have to do that every outing, but if he can come close to it, I think the rotation can survive...if Pablo gets back to being an ace.
  8. Okert is back. Dobber sent down.
  9. The Twins are calling up top pitching prospect Zebby Matthews, reports ESPN’s Jeff Passan. He’ll join an injury-plagued rotation and make his MLB debut the first time he takes the mound. Matthews isn’t yet on the 40-man roster, so Minnesota will need to make a corresponding move to formally select his contract.
  10. With Ryan's injury, Pablo has to be an ace. We need a return to last October's form in the worst way.
  11. I think Royce is just pressing right now both in the field and at the plate. Trying to do much. He needs to take a deep breath and just play ball.
  12. Thielbar is a necessary evil. Limited options. As for the other stuff, the Guardians have a way of making their own luck. It's baseball.
  13. I touched a nerve obviously with a certain poster so I'll move on. No one needs to read the back and forth.
  14. Doesn't matter the sport. Managers and coaches are fired when players don't produce on the field. This team doesn't produce when it matters. If people think Rocco isn't a big reason as to why, so be it. I won't mention his name again if helps the apologists put down their pitch forks.
  15. We're going to continue to disagree on this. You think he's a good manager. I get it. I don't think he is. This team displays poor fundamentals on almost a daily basis. The situational hitting is completely non-existent. These are the reasons managers and coaches are fired. If the excuse for Rocco is, well he wasn't the one swinging the bat or he wasn't the one throwing the pitch, then there would be very little turnover in the managerial ranks.
  16. Jeffers base running blunder. Not sending the runner today. Bases loaded and no one out and zero runs, again. Incompetence breeds incompetence.
  17. The Twins aren't ready for prime time. That simple. And it starts with the guy in the dugout.
