  1. No Correa. No Buxton. No Ryan. Rookie starters. And, Rocco. It's done.
  2. Shudder to think what Chris Sale does to this team tomorrow. God help us.
  3. They mailed it tonight. Is what it is.
  4. The Twins can't win consistently without Buxton and Correa unless Lewis goes supernova and he hasn't been that of late.
  5. Considering the injury issues this team has, if Rocco has Castro or Wallner pitch, he should be fired on the spot.
  6. Anyone else starting to wonder about Correa's injury? Wondering if there's more to it. This team desperately needs him and if it really was a pain tolerance issue and his cleats, I would think they could have found an insert or something to help with the pain. Also, it started as a heel contusion, then plantar fasciitis and now just 'heel'. I'd be mildly surprised if he's back at all this year despite his recent comments.
  7. This is why you don't piss games away against Texas and St. Louis.
  8. I would have taken my chances with Wallner in a lefty-lefty matchup over Farmer in a righty-righty matchup. Entire stadium knew what was coming when Rocco sent Farmer out of the dugout. Now if we're talking about someone like Lewis or if they were available, Correa le Buxton, then absolutely. But to send up a struggling hitter who has one thing going for him - hitting lefties - and that one advantage is going to disappear...that's a tough one for me to understand.
  9. Exactly. Odds of Wallner walking into one and hitting one out are higher than Farmer coming through in that spot.
  10. The move was let Wallner hit and then put Farmer in at 2b to replace Julien.
  11. Good managers put their team in position to win games. Using Duran in a meaningless game last night so that he's potentially fatigued today... Pinch hitting for Wallner with a guy that isn't hitting over .200... Could Julien have made the play in the 9th? Of course. But that doesn't excuse questionable decisions from the dugout. And when you add up those decisions over the course of 162, you get a team that falls short of a division and anything beyond that in October.
  12. They continue to lose games around the margins. As for why or because of whom, it is what it is. But this team isn't winning the division.
