Also, series like Cleveland and Boston - this is where you need your best players to show up...looking specifically at: Correa, Buxton, Lewis, Pablo, Ober.
Games like these are why Correa is here. He won't disappoint (if his foot holds up).
Zebby pitching twice on this road trip. Oofda! That's not on him. He's a rookie. Should be in AAA right now. Not on Rocco or even the front office. No one has a choice here. The Pohlad's had a choice. And they opted to pinch pennies instead of upgrading the rotation.
And for that person who wants to 'react' to a post that's over a month old and then fail to provide actual context - welp, have fun. A certain poster has been chasing me around all season but doesn't like to actually contribute anything of substance.
The Twins won the season series and when the Twins were healthy - or at least relatively healthy because they've never been fully at 100% this year - they didn't have any issues with Kansas City. Even last weekend, the Twins pissed two games away. The Royals are what they are and no, I don't take them seriously when we're talking about being able to make a legit post-season run.
Football Sundays are more fun than Baseball Sundays when the Twins are fading fast but that was big time showing from Lee yesterday. I think some folks are too hard on him. He's a rookie in a line-up where everyone seems to be struggling. Hopefully this game turns the Twins' fortunes around. These next 7 games are the season.
It's not just the pitching. There's zero emotion or energy. They look like a group playing out the string. Changes need to be made. Front office, dugout, roster.
