Problem is a sad one. Clemens is one of the best hitters on the roster. Until we bring up a bunch from St Paul, he is what we have. Who is better except for Keaschall or Buxton? Certainly not Wallner. Lee, Bell, Lewis etc., etc.
I think alot of decisions are being made due to the thought there won't be any baseball next year. They are saving service time. Might as run the has beens and never weres out there and lose 100+games this year.
Watching the Twins today, God knows why, thinking we just keep running the same guys out there year after year after proving they aren't major league talent. We add marginal or less talent to these mainstays and expect different results. What a pathetic organization. In for a long year(s).
Problem is, our trades bring back less talent than what we traded. That isn't going to get you ahead. We need to add to the talent we have, which is not much, or get out of the business.
