  1. Pilots were 1969..lasted only 1 year and moved to Milwaukee
  2. Somebody just mentioned the 10 day DL...and what if he may be okay after a few days. I think that it is questionable based on his performance. I will not call him a baby as I respect him, but I do believe that he should have asked for or not have rejected a stint at St Paul upon his being released from the IL. It is possible that appearing in his 1st game back being the Field of Dreams was influential to him. If he is not 100%.....he also should stand up and state the IL being important. I do not believe that he would have had this luxury on other teams..being treated with kid gloves. If it looks like he will need surgery on his hip, why is he playing... which could only make things worse...especially if the Twins look as if they will not make the playoffs.
  3. yeah,,,,If Jenkins performs (I hope people don't count on him being Superman...he is not going to save the season) this next month, I would be in favor of him being the starting CF in 2027. I do believe that Emma should be called up on September 1.
  4. i had to look him up...played only 15 games with the Twins...several with Seattle...would that have been the Pilots late 70's/80's ?
  5. I am always afraid to state anything questionable on Buxton as there are some who thinks he walks on water, I have always supported him as a fan, but these injuries and having him not placed on the IL does not make sense. Yes, he did well before the all star break and deserves credit and praise,,,,,but his been batting average has been 132, OPS 246 OBP 246, SLG, 151, RBI 1....now there is a report where he may need surgery on the hip...if this had been anybody else, the person would be on the IL.
  6. 7. ????....DH maybe...he could not even bend down to pick up a ball last week.,,,BRING UP EMMA!!!!!!
  8. Listen...he started Zepbound,,,maybe try Roden at 2nd?
  9. As a retired Californian who grew up in Twins territory, I very much enjoy the comaraderie and humorous responses. I am a bit curious. Have you ever posted statistics as to the number of people that connect to Twins Daily?
  10. "Until he is fully healthy again"...let him play...honestly..you simply cannot count on it...if he returns. ...for how long?
  11. https://www.mlb.com/whitesox/news/pope-leo-xiv-gifted-pope-hat-from-white-sox-giveaway?msockid=2b781749093569ad311c00ec0871687a Twins fans may be seeing a different type of baseball cap in the stands this weekend. The Twins give away yacht caps, and the White Sox have Pope hats. The Babe, Gehrig, Mantle and the rest must be rolling over in their graves,
  12. and billionaire who spends his money on a team that has failed to produce
  13. My point is that it is time to use Buxton as the back-up plan or part-time plan. You have a young #1 draft pick ready to take the baton in that role. It makes absolutely no sense to keep HOPING that he will be well. He has played in about 54% of his MLB games per the stats due to injuries and resting him since he became an MLB player. He will be 32 in in 2027. His injury list. cortisone shots, etc. are lengthy. Those are facts. You cannot count on him being a full time, healthy player moving forward. Maybe it is time to get a full-time person you can count on and use him part time..or DH . He is not a dead horse... but he is a crippled horse that you should not be placing bets on for future races.
  14. Many may forget that he was a Twins manager in 1969. I vaguely recall seeing him in a game when I was 12 or 13. I read a great biography on him called NUMBER 1 many years ago. Of course, there was the story of him getting in a fight with a Marshmallow salesman while the manager in New York. Many don't know that there was another marshmallow part II event later while coaching Oakland and playing the Twins in Bloomington. https://80sbaseball.com/billy-martin-vs-the-marshmallow-man-part-ii/ I always found him interesting,
  15. go to Seat Geek...maybe be able to get a $5.00 ticket for the cap,,,game secondary
  16. Starting to think about who they will or may dump ..trade...before next year...Jeffers...Ryan...Bell,,????????????????????????????????????????????
