  1. Trying to think of a "Twin of the Month" in August...hitting would be Keasch
  2. looking at Ross' stats with the Saints...he is playing well...he is an infielder
  3. Clemens could be the HR leader at end of season...something that i would have not predicted last March.
  4. Unless there is an injury...doubt Martin will be back
  5. well...looks like they have moved on from Wallner. Can someone explain why they are bringing up Ross instead of Emma? age?
  6. Just have a good backup plan with a good utility outfielder ready...which was not the case this year. There is a difference...Hunter did not have a history of only appearing in about 50% of potential games as a professional in addition to going on 3 IL stints in the same year as he approached his mid-30s. RF okay.....but be prepared to have a back up plan....a good team needs to be realistic.
  7. I believe that Buxton should not be the "face of the franchise" ..for 2027...as someone mentioned...
  8. Good points....Jackson must be close to setting a team record for Twins team bench warming. The rationale seems to be using Jeffers as a pinch hitter when Caratini is catching. If something happens to Caratini after that point, Jackson will have to enter the game. It makes no sense. Interested that Jackson has a low overall batting average lifetime, but has batted about 330 in limited appearances. As others have pointed out, I believe that it is time to move on from Buxton as a full-time CF next year. He has been on the IL 3 times this year. With less than a month left in the season, why bring him back this year?
  9. I do not disagree. We will see on Tuesday. It is honestly a challenge to predict what they will do, and I have scratched my head trying to figure it out rationale at times this year. He could very well be taking the same path as Miranda.....we shall see. Although, I never thought that Ortiz would take the path he did when they traded him to the Red Sox.
  10. I will be interested to see who they call up on September 1. Wallner and Orze would be the easiest since they are already on the 40 man roster. My hope is Emma, obviously. Unless they really want a reliever, it should be Wallner (a chance to finally prove himself after setting the HR record for the Saints) and Emma. With this addition of hitters, I do not feel that this gimmick of Shelty keeping Jackson is needed. The wild card track is over. It is time to vet players and positions for the future.
  11. I like this lineup. Houston probably will not be at this level at the start of the season. Need to probably include utility players such as Clemens, since injuries will occur.
  12. At this point in the season...just need to be happy about individual performances
  13. It is sunday...kreidler is here...where is the church
