  1. OK, if you're gonna twist my arm, I'll circle back to that 1970 pitching staff... we had Blyleven, Tiant, Jim Perry and Kaat that year. Those four guys would go on to win 1,014 MLB games between them.
  2. Hugely productive, especially in '59 and '60. Really good ballplayer.
  3. Don't even get me started on Luis Tiant! (He was 13-for-32 at the plate in 1970, with 4 doubles!)
  4. More importantly, will the old guys hijack the thread again with memories of Bobby Darwin and Rich Reese...
  5. I don't understand what anyone expects to see from Martin or Lewis next year that hasn't already been revealed. The numbers and the eye test match up. Their spots on the roster must be upgraded for the Twins to move forward.
  6. Saw some good things tonight. Ryan was semi-stable and got us thru 5 innings in good shape. The offense showed some flashes .
  7. HItting .348 with a .984 OPS in his last 7 games!
  8. Rodgers now gifting the Angels with an 0-2 HBP
  9. I believe Festa has the dreaded 'thoracic outlet' thingy, or whatever they call that nowadays. Recovery has been spotty for guys who suffer that type of injury, but some do come back completely. So at least there's hope.
  10. No way you run this same group back out there in '27. I'd rather lose 100 games trying to find gamers.
  11. Trout was an absolutely insane talent between 2012 and 2022. His stats are what we all hoped Buxton might someday produce (but never did). Somewhere in those 10 years, Trout might have been the best baseball player of all time. Age and injuries have reduced his productivity considerably these last 4 seasons.
  12. If Festa were to come back healthy in the spring? Maybe he has a role? Kendry Rojas has real promise somewhere on this pitching staff.
  13. Trout missed that pitch. Almost middle-middle.
  14. Not sure I like Funderburk vs Trout to decide the game...
  15. We need a lockdown bullpen guy (or two) for 2027. Do we have these guys internally? Or who do we sign/trade for?
