  1. A great outing from Santana even if it seems routine at this point and a little offense make the sting and fear of what yesterday might turn into go away pretty easily. Just finish this out without any damage.
  2. Joe Mauer is 2 tenths of a percent to the hall of fame in the last 2 days alone. It's a long shot still but it won't take many more multi hit games for him to crack 2000 hits, and with his defense I'm not as convinced he's in his final 2 or 3 years. If he can just hit .270 for 5 years and avoid injuries he will get close enough to 3000.
  3. 12 minutes times 9 is 1:48 minutes throw in an extra three minutes for the inning the run gets scored and we're looking at ending the game after 3 PM
  4. So a lot like Hilltop? Is there city hall in a tailor park too?
  5. If this pitcher for the Astros are as efficient as his stats suggest we might get to the 15th inning before we hit 3 hours.
  6. Have umpires been told there no longer allowed to throw guys out for arguing balls and strikes. 4 years ago even that little disagreement would have been dealt with harshly by a lot of umpires.
  7. I'm guessing there are prospects rated in our top 10 who Falvey and Levine don't value. I think you can probably get a significant asset for something we don't need. Now that it appears we have at least one top end of the rotation pitcher the needs are no longer that huge. I think people get overly focused on the long range model other teams have used, but really despite the fact the lineup might be better in 2 or 3 years given Santana's age this might be our best chance to take a shot.
  8. No you appear to be a Viking fan. The Twins have had some bad seasons, and every once in a while over the years have blown bigger leads, but they don't let you down in a regular season game with a big lead often.
  9. Imagine Grossman trying to play an infield position
  10. This is looking like the pitchers duel we expected Sunday
  11. It's a shame those UMD hockey fans aren't back in Chicago
  12. If Berrios steps in and gets things rolling the starting pitching will be in good shape to keep the Twins in contention
  13. Can anyone explain to me why teams ever play the infield in in the first 7 innings?
  14. I never make the same people saying A are also saying B argument because it's often mostly different people, but if you argued for Park to be up and Buxton to be down I don't get it. Buxton's outfield defense is more valuable then Parks occasional Home run and Buxtons offense and Park's non home run offense are about equal with the difference being Buxton will improve.
  15. 3-1 in the second half keep this up and they win 86 or 87 and have a good shot at the Wild Card
  16. Well you can but chances are with that the 87 and 91 world series go away, plus as soon as you do it you're wife will have a new husband and you will have no clue where you actually live but hey you might be able to watch Michael Bradley play home games for the Twins at Netflix field.
  17. I can't stand Paul Molitor. Sorry I'm not sure what it is about him but I dislike him more then I dislike Donald Trump. I'll try to control myself but when it comes to dealing with umps and protecting his players he's awful.
