    At today's current value of starting pitching I think the Marlins and every other team wants 3 names on the "don't want to trade " list. Every trade proposal conjured up on this and other Twins fans sites only list players WE would be willing to trade. In my observations if it does not hurt, it's not going to happen. If it's going to hurt might as well go for Luzardo.

    I literally cut my cable a couple of days before this Balleys deal was announced. I gambled that I would be able to stream the Twins games and not have to pay such an exorbitant price for TV. Looks like I'll have time for long walks in the summer evenings.

    DeScalfini makes 12 million, Polanco makes 10. or 10.5, I forget which. I imagine the cash is the salary difference.

    DeSclafani reminds me of Scott Klingenbeck. Bring your glove to Target Field if you sit in the outfield bleachers. Hopefully with the cash return the Twins have a major announcement soon............

    We keep our accounts separate. Her money is her money and my money is her money. Me thinks Gordon should be taking the $900,000 before he ends up with a minor league deal with the Oakland A's. If Buxton is for real going to man center Gordon will probably be the utility guy out of a job.

    I heard Miguel Sano is also in the best shape of his career.

    I realize this is a projection article but it's too early to say these are bad contracts. Injuries have in a big way impacted 3 of the 4 players mentioned and Vasquez's contract is todays going rate for a good veteran catcher. After watching Gary Sanchez wail away for a full year I like Vasquez behind the plate for the same money.

    Time to give Rocco some credit for the quick hook this season.. Lopez is throwing 97 tonight. It's like they left a lot of gas in the tank for the playoffs.

    The Texas outfielders are making me appreciate the Twins outfield defense. Looks like Delmon Young, Oswaldo Arcia and Josh Willingham in the outfield at the same time.

    Personally, I'd go with 1. Lopez 2. Gray 3. Maeda 4. Ober or Lopez(depending on the series standing) Ryan has not looked good lately, I don't think he has hit 93 in over a month.

    He hit 98 according to the field radar gun. He was clearly the best pitcher of the day, for either team. However, he has pitched 5 innings total in the bigs this year, I'm not counting on him eating a lot of high pressure innings in the playoffs.

    I’m at the game. Paddock’s pitches sound heavy. 11 minute fireworks show last night after the game, to bad for the Rockies the Twins won that game.
