  1. I thought 75% because we have Ryan and possibly Lopez pitching if they don't have another injury pop up. And yes, lazy effort should find the bench.
  2. I don't get it. If Sabato's numbers are not good enough for a call up what do you do with him this winter when he has to be added to the 40 man roster or exposed to waivers for $100,000? Play him over Clemons who is a waiver wire level player. If you're going into the 'next phase' of building a championship team(cough cough) get on with it. The Twins will be underdogs in 75% of the games the rest of this year. PLay the young guys who might bring some enthusiasm to the field. Friday and Saturdays games were the same old same old, the Twins were out hustled by a large margin, out played and continued to ignore situational hitting. I'm starting to think the slugging percentage numbers and micro stat numbers on exit velocities and angle and blah blah blah do not encourage 'little ball skills' which is why the Twins manager and players ignore working on them. Before Bloody Thursday I posted that the Twins were lolligagers and nothing has changed since then from some of the players. Players that at least hustle and give 100% become fan favorites and right now I do not see any on the roster looking like they will be the next fan favorite. The players have all the enthusiasm of two loggers cutting down a tree.
  3. The Twins play 'me' ball, not team ball. Been going on all year and continues even after Bloody Thursday.
  4. I think we all know that when Falvey is no longer the Twins GM he is going to be a sucessful politician.
  5. Topa has saved games in the past. His stuff compares to Duran. Not very well but still.......
  6. If Falvey is finally driving down a lane someone needs to give him the breathalyzer test. Looks like he is swerving to me. Plouffe made the most valid point to me a few broadcasts ago when he said the good teams have more coaches in the minors. The Twins players coming up through the system are not fundamentally ready for the majors. Until Falveys attitude on minor league coaching changes the Twins are stuck with the same type of players on the team as we have recently.
  7. Then they have to pay the players salary for the rest of the year. We know that's not going to happen.
  8. we all know it's to save face.
  9. Peter, that means a plethora of 1 run losses may be coming up. Brace yourself.
  10. I hope this is sarcasm. Kiersey literally has 4 singles and 1 hr on the season. I typed this right before he hit the home run.
  11. I’ll miss Bader patrolling the outfield but Kiersey is here so might as well play him.
  12. we don't know what goes on in the front office. Perhaps the Philly's were the only team interested in Duran at the 2 top 100 prospect price. Perhaps Falvey has been told he will have to slash another 25 million from next years budget. I do think $$$ is a factor here. Duran, Jax, and Ryan are due for significant arbitration raises and paying closer salaries for Jax and Duran is not Faleys style. I'm sad. Duran was the most exciting player on the team. I'm glad my grandsons got to experience Durans entrance and 9th inning dominance.
  13. Keirsey is on the roster. Might as well play him.
  14. It goes along with the 1/2 inning securian commercial we have to listen to.
  15. I can't believe Bader lost his hat catching that now non homer.
  16. He is a utility player that plays every day. I think he is wore down a tad bit.
  17. The pipeline is not flowing yet. Hopefully SWR can keep spinning his new formula.
  18. I wish him the best but I was at Target Field when he made his debut. I saw nothing to get excited about. Pitches sounded soft, contact hits sounded loud. As Terry Ryan said, somebody has to pitch the innings.
