  1. You know what? I would rather see him stay in the minor for the rest of his career.
  2. This guy Littel might be buried in the minor for now.
  3. I really don't see any future for Littel in the major league. This guy simply can't get any major leaguer out.
  4. Hottest hitters of the game for the Twins are both gone. I think it's going to be another one run loss.
  5. Molitor is really special. He actually thinks Wilson can hit and doesn't need a pinch hitter. How many managers would let someone who's hitting .125 hit for himself in the last inning when the game is so close?
  6. Unless they are getting a major league ready starting pitcher back, they should not trade Gibson, they should extend him instead. They need at least two good starting pitchers (Berrios and Gibson) in the rotation next year.
  7. I am not sure if Dozier can keep his OPS over 700 for the rest of the season.
  8. This is not Wrigley field. That's why.
  9. I don't think Reed wants to see Duke finish his inning after that Cubs game. So they chose Rogers. And that's a good decision.
  10. Molitor does not trust Gibson and he has more faith in 'all-mouth no production' Morrison.
  11. I don't understand why they don't let Escobar pinch hit for Wilson who is the worst hitter on the team. I don't understand why they pinch hit for Gibson who is the best hitter on the team with a perfect average with the second worst hitter on the team. Can anyone tell me why?
  12. Morrison and Wilson should be released. When Motter comes back from DL, he should be released. Adrianza will be back from DL soon. Vargas should be recalled since he can't be any worse than Morrison. Anyone can play first base, they might as well call up Sawyer if they don't want to call up Vargas.
  13. Gibson 2 for 2, Astudillo 2 for 2. From now on, Gibson should be a pinch hitter. :-)
  14. I would trade Lynn, Odorizzi, Duke, Reed, Rodney before I even think about trading Gibson because I don't think most of the starting pitching prospects are ready. Think about it, Santana and Lynn will be gone, Odorizzi is still not consistent. They might as well keep Gibson because they need veterans in the rotation.
  15. Anyone can make mistakes. Theo Epstein is no GOD. Maybe he just does not like a player with this built. Why knows? I care less. Let's see what kind of player he is. I still remember a few years ago almost nobody had faith in Escobar and I was probably the only one who believed in him. Boy I feel good looking back.
  16. I have not seen anywhere saying he is not a good catcher. I heard his pitch framing is average. He has been overlooked by teams because of his size and built. Just like for a pitcher if you are short, no teams would give you a chance to be a starter because they don't believe a short pitcher can succeed in the major league.
  17. Still better than Garver defensively. He is short and moving fast, that is supposed to help him block pitches low and away. He also steals bases and has a decent arm throwing out runners. Overall he is a better catcher than Garver.
  18. If he can get the bat on the ball, he might as well go for it. Most of the major league pitchers have no control issues. He is not JD Martinez or Trout. They are not going to walk him because they fear him. I hope all the Twins players would swing the bat more. It's better going down swinging than looking. At least they have tried therefore no regrets. A walk doesn't win a game unless bases are loaded.
  19. Astudillo is 26 years old, about 9 years younger than Wilson. He has consistently hit close to .300 at every level and he rarely strikes out or draws a walk. He is considered an average catcher with average skills defensively. He should be a better catcher than Garver.
  20. Molitor gave up the game and his players didn't. They just came up short.
  21. He is average defensively. Much better catcher than Garver.
  22. That was a smart strategy trying to take out their closer. The Cubs didn't bite and let their closer bat.
  23. To be fair Molitor really has no choice but to use him here.
