  1. Great idea, but no mention of May and Moya. Do you not consider them part of the future?
  2. A lot will depend if Paul Molitor is manager still. If he is- when Lewis is called up- he will sit on the bench, get a token start or two- then sent back down- only to be brought up later- for a month playing sporadically then sent down again- with his timing and confidence shot- pushing back his progression a year or two. I hate being a realist at times:(
  3. Didn’t I read here somewhere that Belisle would be released if his ERA went north of 8.00? It is 7.98 now so it could happen yey this inning.
  4. Thought he was on an innings count
  5. I think he might be a good manager.
  6. You are correct about Mauer's contract and if Joe was as upset about the Dozier trade as Bremer made it sound during yesterday's game- this very well could be Joe's last season with Twins.
  7. 1.) Where are you from? Austin MN-- live in Central MN now 2.) Age Range? Older than I feel 3.) What brought you to Twins Daily? Followed Twins Fan forum and Strib forums- led to Seth Speaks 4.) Highest level of baseball/softball played? High School- sort of 5.) Favorite Twins Player, and favorite underappreciated Twins player All time-- Tony Oliva Current Eddie Rosario 6.) Favorite non-Twins Daily site/authors? John Sanders and Lee Child 7.) Favorite Twitter follows? Don't Twitter 8.) Other interests outside of baseball. Gardening, Camping, Reading, Cooking (pretty domestic) 9.) Favorite part of Twins Daily... forums 10.) Tell us what we can do better. What features or other topics would you like to see in-season or out of season? I agree. 11.) Have you been to any of the Twins Daily "events?" No I had over 1,000 comments at one time under this name and Rick Blaine (here is looking at you, kid) Probably still in your system somewhere-- of late I have just been reading (or lurking, if you want) I just found a password that worked!
  8. "There's a good argument to be made that the Twins should have never sought out to replace him in the rotation in the first place, but you know what they say, "you can never have too much pitching." The Twins have a history of replacing promising young pitchers with retreads.
  9. great dominant left handed hitter-- three batting titles-- career hampered with injuries--borderling HOF candidate? Are we talking about Joe Mauer or Tony Oliva?
  10. FYI-- The Twins traded Greg Nettles to the Indians following the 1969 season as part of the Luis Tiant transaction. It would have be nice to have kept him, but in those years we had Killebrew at third. Rich Reese had hit .322 in 1969 was at first-- so they must have thought Reese was a better option than Nettles otherwise they would have moved Harmon to first.
  11. Great list. I would have ranked Frank Quilici much higher based on the Frank Quilci factor. He was .500 as a manager his first two and a half years.
  12. I would select Eddie also.
  13. question-- if option 2 is selected does the claiming team need to offer players who also have cleared waivers?
