  1. I agree Marney would a great replacement for Bremer. She did well doing play by play during a spring training game or two last year. I ran into her at the Goose Island Pub in the left field area this season and told her she should take Dick's job. She smiled and rolled her eyes.
  2. You made me look. Zoilo was with the Twins 1961 through 67. During that time Harmon played less than 200 games at 3B. Mostly played LF and 1B. Rich Rollins played a lot at third those years.
  3. I have been second guessing Rocco all season, then I look at the standings and shut up.
  4. Trevor was allowed to throw a pitch tonight. Must be his new roll. May 1. May Day.
  5. Missing in action?
  6. I was just suggesting there may have been a relationship between Falvey and Shelton that could make him a strong possibility. “Lion’s share of the people we’ve brought in were people we didn’t have a previous relationship with” leaves the door open that they had a relationship with some. As a young intern, Falvey may have been impressed with Shelton and eagerly added him to the Twins staff with possible plans for the future. Or not.
  7. Shelton was Indians hitting coach from 2005-2009. Falvey joined the Indians in 2007.
  8. Surprised no one has mentioned Derek Shelton. He was probably Falvey's choice all along. Came from Cleveland and made bench coach in case Molitor faltered so he would be ready to takeover when the opportunity presented itself.
  9. How long do we continue with Kepler in right field? Maybe a platoon of Kepler and Buxton next year, with Rosario and Cave starting the other outfield positions? I agree that they should be playing Polanco at second to see if that is a viable option. Lewis and Gordon are probably a year away from being our middle infielders (or longer to save service time!)
  10. could be six of the nine are ex-Twins next year. Garver, Polanco and Cave will probably return.
  11. Table set for Field. Two on one out
  12. Cave gets solid hit to the pitcher.
  13. Tonight’s lineups Twins 9 guys including an ex-Yankee Yankees 9 different guys including an ex-Twin
  14. Gibson 41 pitches in two innings. Tomorrow is an Opener (bullpen) game. Everybody gets to play!
  15. Was tonight’s game thread moved to Twins Minor League Talk forum?
  16. We do—his name is Astudillo!!
  17. That was my impression of the King’s Speech.
  18. Astudillo probably a better DH than pitcher, looking at his stats.
  19. Astudillo probably a better DH than pitcher, looking at his stats.
  20. Twins off to a good LOB pace after two
  21. Kepler must be the best .226 hitter in baseball. Whenever I watch he seems to get a hit, but his average never goes up. Are tariffs imposed on German born hitters? Math doesn’t seem to work.
  22. Buxton is a bust. He is injury prone and his slow starts last five months. We have seen him as good as he gets. Good D no offense. It is time to set our sites on the next group and hope they pan out. Bringing Buxton up now has no effect as he won’t be in the organization when the extra year kicks in. September stats for non-contending teams don’t matter. Remember Chris Parmalee’s September a few years back? Remember Chris Parmalee? Point taken.
