  1. "What the hell is wrong with him?" - My girlfriend after hearing Jim Joyce's strike call.
  2. Must have enough confidence that Plouffe will continue his progression as a hitter.
  3. How the **** does this happen all the time!?!?!
  4. C'mon, if Jhonny Peralta can get three bases on the same interfence situation, Revere can at least get 3rd base.
  5. I said "It'll be 3-1 after that." I wish I was right.
  6. Either we're gonna see him give up 8 runs over three innings or throw a 4 hit shutout. It's never middle ground with this guy.
  7. Doubt. Danny's got a long ways to go to match Trevor in productivity.
  8. It's like nothing happened last half inning.
  9. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/minnesota_twins/index.html Twins interim GM Terry Ryan told Phil Mackey of 1500 ESPN Twin Cities that he hasn't spoken to team owner Carl Pohlad about taking over the position on a permanent basis. "We haven't talked about it at all and I don't anticipate talking about it until we get to the latter part of this year," Ryan said. "We have not had a good year. We've got a lot of work to do here. I'm not in any position to say that interim is going to be off me."
  10. Delmon Young has 9 walks on the season, the lowest amount for all qualified players. He has 359 plate appearances. That one walk every 39.8 plate appearances. One walk every 10.8 games. One walk every 98.2 innings. Words cannot express how abysmal that is.
  11. http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=22970091&topic_id=9780550&c_id=mlb Jerry White's reaction at 1:15 is just great.
  12. Robertson vs. Hamilton. Because Robertson vs. Fielder went so well the other day.
  13. I always wondered why no one has tried to railroad the pitcher when he's covering the plate instead of the catcher. I get the old "he'll throw at your head" argument, but it's not like players haven't done other things to piss off the other team before.
  14. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/07/07/peterson-incident-all-on-video/ For now, the events leading to the Saturday morning arrest of Vikings running back Adrian Peterson aren’t clear. Soon, they likely will be. A source with knowledge of the situation tells PFT that the incident culminating in Peterson’s arrest was captured by one or more surveillance cameras. Multiple persons also witnessed the event. According to the source, Peterson, his girlfriend, and some family members were at a nightclub in Houston. At closing time, a group of police officers entered the club, and they began instructing the remaining patrons to leave. Peterson wanted to get some water before he left, but an officer told Peterson that he needed to leave. Some words apparently were exchanged, but Peterson eventually walked to the exit with one of the club’s bouncers. It’s believed that one of the officers then jumped on Peterson’s back from behind and tried to take him down. (Key word: “tried.”) Other officers then joined the fray and completed the arrest. Peterson was charged with resisting arrest, which implies he was being arrested for something else. He is charged for now with no other crime. Multiple witnesses recorded portions of the incident with their phones, but it’s currently believed that the best view of the interaction between Peterson and the police will come from the surveillance camera(s) at the club. Keep checking PFT — or perhaps YouTube — for more details.
  15. Sure as hell beats seeing Wes Johnson in the starting lineup every night.
  16. http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/8134240/reports-former-portland-trail-blazer-brandon-roy-reaches-verbal-agreement-minnesota-timberwolves Now if we can just sign OJ Mayo we'll have two top 10 picks that we drafted and traded away hours later.
  17. I'll probably be able to name all 50 of the greatest Twins players by memory after this series is over.
  18. This thread needs more Dan.
  19. Trevor Plouffe has transformed himself into a weapon for this team. Never in my lifetime would I have bet on that ever happening.
