  1. CAN they turn it around? Of course. WILL they turn it around?
  2. Duffey has not been good to start the year, to say the least.
  3. I disagree. Here are his 2021 percentile rankings: He does excel at not walking hitters and he’s above average at striking them out, but he’s poor at limiting hard contact and his xwOBA and xERA are about league average.
  4. Paddack had a good rookie season in 2019 but a rough 2020-2021. I like the trade, though. He’s young as you said and I could see him improving in MN.
  5. I think if Buxton is able to stay healthy (as in play even 100-120 games) he should definitely be able to hit 30+ homers. He hit 19 in 60 games last year. Correa probably won’t hit .280. Correa, if healthy, should be able to hit 25+ homers. However, health is a question for him. Sano should be able hit 30+ homers. Sonny Gray is the ace of the staff, and he’s better than Berrios. If he stays healthy, 10 wins shouldn’t be a problem at all. I’ll take the over on the Twins’ 81.5 wins, because I’m a homer.
  6. Given that we’re four days from Opening Day, I would assume so. Of course I could be wrong, but I doubt we’ll see any more moves made.
  7. He needs to play 130+ games and produce at the level that he did at the beginning of last year.
  8. I think Ryan will be a top of the rotation arm one day, but I’m not sure if he’ll be this year. I hope so.
  9. I’m quite impressed by the Gray and Correa moves. They’ll still need production from the farm if they want to make the playoffs. If they’re in contention in July, they can make more moves to make the playoffs.
  10. They should definitely add a starter (like Montas). They should also add one or teo more RPs.
  11. They actually did it. Good work Falvey!
  12. Most lifelong fans don’t have years of experience working in the MLB. That alone makes them unqualified for the GM position. There is some luck involved with getting a job in the MLB, but the people who are selected for the GM position are not selected at random. They are selected because they’re the most experienced and they’re the best at their job. The same is true for Falvey and Levine.
  13. None of this at all supports the notion that most fans are more qualified for the position than Falvey and Levine. You’re saying the job itself is easy? Are you ****ting me? How can you say a job is easy when you’ve (I’d assume, correct me if I’m wrong here) never actually done that job yourself?
  14. Amazing how none of them could get a job in the MLB but the “clueless” Falvey and Levine could. What an odd world we live in.
  15. His Fastball/Curveball Spin went from 90th Percentile to 80th Percentile last year with the substance ban.
  16. Ok fine…yeah, I didn’t think that one through. They may really believe in Jose Miranda. But if that’s the case, they really sold low on Donaldson (as in they didn’t get much back for him). IDK. Maybe they’ll spend $40M in free agency over the next few days, maybe they won’t.
  17. I was thinking it was to make room for a pitcher that they would acquire via trade.
