  1. Erm……have you seen his stats so far this year? He currently has a 5.24 ERA with a 1.41 WHIP and -0.2 WAR. And his Baseball Savant stats say that he’s been pitching pretty horribly:
  2. Losing Kepler will hurt (he's been good thus far). However, Pagan and Thielbar have been awful this year. We won't miss them. Let's hope our favorite team can turn things around. They need to in order to stay in the division lead.
  3. 2019 is the aberration but 2021 is the rule? Where is your evidence to back this up? Everyone performed well in 2019. That's true. Everyone also performed like **** and got injured in 2021. Furthermore, you're saying a sample size of 162 games completely trumps a sample size of 273. That doesn't work.
  4. After the last two games, yeah, we need to improve the back end of the pen. Although I’m not sure exactly where those improvements are coming from. The team has options.
  5. Do tell why in 2020 it was a bad idea for them to sign Donaldson. He filled a huge need (3B) for a price much lower than a lot of people thought. He lived up to expectations in his two years here. Why do you think they shouldn’t have signed him in the first place?
  6. True, but Overall Win% can be a good indicator of a manager and/or FO’s competence.
  7. How could they send Royce Lewis down? ?

  8. I don’t think anyone is saying that he’s great. I think it’s fair to say that he’s been doing a good job so far this year. But generally, I think managers are not as big a part of the game as many make them out to be. There are pitching coaches, hitting coaches, training coaches, and several other types of supporting staff.
  9. He's definitely gotten lucky, to be sure.
  10. This team is sliding fast…they better get it in check.
  11. So far, Coulombe looks like he can be good all year:
  12. Cleveland’s strength so far, surprisingly, has been their offense. Their pitching staff has been awful.
