    When the new kitchen is done, please don't drop a slice of cheesy pizza upside down in it. (Friend was over today and needless to say is not in a good mood with her husband after she'd been being so careful not to mess it up. Apparently doesn't think that is what self-cleaning is for.)

    Yeah, that's why I was surprised at Howard's comment on the Nachos. At least you get cheese. Although cheese, salsa, sour cream sounds a bit like regular Nachos to me not Grande but maybe you get more than 5.

    Apparently they thought it was so absurd they didn't need to be responsible. Santana looks pretty good there on the bench.

    Okay, Howard Sinker posts a menu for Yankee Stadium. What seems more absurd? Nachos Grande (cheese, salsa, sour cream) $12.00 Fresh Popcorn $7.75 I realize it depends on the size but the popcorn still seems more absurd to me.

    Reading the responses to LEN3's post, it seems like others have doubts as well as me. Given how unusual this is, they need to be really clear about what is going on. Waiting for Berardino to post a story since he is usually on top of things.

    Not me. We need rain big time. A piddly .3 overnight. We need at least 3 good inches (plus more on a regular basis). Rain, Rain, Rain .... come our way.

    Gardenhire sounds like a broken record (if any of you still remember them) when it comes to Kubel, Mauer, Bartlett (early on) and any of his oldie-but-goodies he can drum up.

    Thanks for the numbers, SB. At least this season is still an adventure. And more enjoyable than the last 3 years. It will be intriguing to see if Mauer figures it out and returns to some semblance of his normal self; Dozier can rebound a little and maintain decent if not spectacular numbers while keeping us entertained with his fielding; someone (Escobar?) settles into the shortstop position; Willingham shows enough to have some value at the trade deadline and someone settles in at CF so we stop playing musical outfielders. On the pitching side, I'm anxious to see if Hughes can continue to be the closest thing to an Ace that the Twins have had for years (also anyone want to take bets on when he gives up his next walk? Today in Yankee Stadium???); if Nolasco finally has it together enough to be the innings eater we expected; whether Correia can continue to dodge bullets; and whether Gibson can maintain a satisfactory performance over the entire course of the season. I want to continue to see younger players get opportunities even if that also has an element of failure. I did not, and do not, think this is a playoff team but I want them to keep me interested in the progress they are making.

    Are we sure that Joe Mauer didn't mind meld with Aaron Hicks?

    Something I never thought I'd read: Seth Stohs ‏@SethTweets 1m I hate the concept of booing... but that was a Boo-worthy plate appearance for Mr. Mauer.
