    I really hope this helps. In addition to him having a good year helping the team, I think another 2-3 years of .320+ BA gives him enough to make the hall of fame. Joe is a class act and one of the best catchers of all time, hopefully this helps!

    Semantics, but I will revise: I'm not sure why anyone needs a semi automatic weapon (which can be converted to a fully automatic weapon anyways) Target shooting, lol, that's a good one.

    Ditto The only way I could see it is if I suddenly start hunting. I have been on a weird venison kick lately where I kinda want to go take one down and have enough deer meat to make a ton of jerky and like 6 months worth of steaks, sausages and ground meat. Then I quickly realize that there aren't a whole lot of deer in NYC, then I realize that I would probably not be able to pull the trigger on Bambi's dad anyways.

    Most break ins occur when the home owners/renters/etc aren't home. Unless your teaching fido how to use a gun then it's irrelevant. Are you implying that rape victims wouldn't be raped if they had a gun? Yeesh. Also if someone thinks that owning a gun means their wife isn't going to cheat on them....oh boy...do I have some bad news for you friend.

    While we are at it, the Jews should probably just go ahead and forget about that whole Holocaust thing since it was quite a while ago. Oh, and the gypsies, polish, homosexuals, and pretty much the rest of Europe should probably forget about it as well. I mean "bad things happen" right?

    Wow, this is one of the more dense things I have read on the internet, and that is saying a lot. The fact that this type of opinion is shouted out time and time again from leading GOP, Trump and the NRA is just sad and makes me embarrassed to be an American frankly.

    This is such a terrible, tired and stupid comparison that continues to get tossed out. I will be all for that the day someone is able to take a 36 pack of beer, walk into a school and kill a dozen or so children. This of course will be followed up with a "Well Drunk driving kills innocent people" bit, to which I will respond that I think our Drunk Driving laws should be significantly more strict (if you get caught, you do 60 days in jail, no iffs and or butts, maybe those 60 days are all weekends, but you HAVE to do the time) 2nd time? 1 year in jail. I guarantee if you started tossing drunk drivers in jail for 60 days you would see the rate plummet.

    Also Law makes plenty of money, page views = money. It's no different then radio and even print, both of those are mostly "free" and the money comes from advertising.

    No it definitely was the money, Grantland was bleeding money left and right. The amount the paid their writers was falling well short of anything they could make up ad revenue wise, their traffic numbers were never that great either. Can't do that at a public company.

    Felix Jorge has been a disappointment IMO, I had high hopes for him early on that he could be a #2/#3 type, now it looks like he is back end of the rotation ceiling. Bard seems like he can be ok, but man, I hated and still hate the Twins plan of drafting all of those college RP. Just draft SP and turn them into RP if they struggle. I didn't get it then, and I don't get it now. None of those guys have done well. Carlos Gutierrez comes to mind, what a bunch of wasted picks.

    I don't think Polanco will ever approach Dozier offense wise. I just don't see any good reason to trade Dozier at this stage. Second half struggles or not he is one of the best hitters on this team. The Twins should be building around him, Buxton, Sano, Kepler, Rosario and Park (if he doesn't suck) moving forward.

    Yeah the hand wringing, worrying, and wanting to trade Stewart on these boards leaves me a bit puzzled. I think part of it is because the Twins really haven't ever drafted HS pitchers in the first round, so we aren't accustomed to the longer development curves, Stewart is still our best bet in the system for a bonafide "ace" IMO. I think he has a big year this year and cracks a lot of top 15 lists prior to 2017. The strikeouts will come, and even thus far his other numbers are very promising.

    Yeah, he has always said Berrios ceiling is closer to a #2 then an ace, which I personally agree with. A lot of people are hyping up Berrios to be the next Santana, and I think those people will be dissapointed if he falls short. I will be happy if he ends up as the next Garza (before his meltdown the last couple years)

    It was never even a real thing, it was a tongue in cheek meme back in the BYTO days. Law used to bash the twins for all the pitch to contact guys (like when Blackburn was our number 1 prospect) and most everyone agreed with him. It was just a fun bit.

    My (and a whole lot of other liberals) main two things on guns are: 1. Actually force a legitimate background check for anyone buying a gun. Maybe have an even more in depth one for someone buying a hand gun or automatic weapon (guns that literally only exist to kill other humans) I don think it should be easier to get an AR 15 then it is to get a drivers license or a job at McDonalds. If you want a hand gun or a AR 15 you should have to provide no less than two personal references in addition to a background check. (Of course this might cost a few bucks, so just put a small tax on handguns/automatic guns) 2. Seriously why on earth does a citizen need an AR15 or high capacity assault rifle anyways? I had a roommate with an AR 15 in college, and while he was a completely sane and rational human being, the thought of being so close to it made me nervous. I also have a good friend who was killed senselessly and randomly by some idiot fire a gun into a crowd, and know another guy who was shot in the head (and lived) due to some paradnoid schizophrenic who had a gun on him at a party and basically "snapped",even with those biases I am still not calling for a "ban" on guns. (And 99% of liberals aren't calling for those either) I may own a shot gun or hunting rifle some day, but I will be god damned if I ever bring a handgun or assault rifle anywhere near my home.

    Harrison's slide has been disappointing, at one point he looked like a nice potential future 3rd baseman for this org, now he is barely hanging on (but as pointed out, he still is young) but needs 20+ HR power to develop sooner rather than later IMO. I worry that they are eventually going to give Turner a backup catcher role in the majors no matter what his offensive (lack of) output is. I mean we aren't talking Drew Butera bad, but they need to aim higher for a guy who will get 150 at bats or so in a season (at a sub .600 OPS as things are shaping up) Garver at least has shone some pop.

    Agreed, I haven't actually heard a single democrat, much less a single democrat in congress or running for the PUSA who is trying to "ban" firearms. The only thing mentioned is increased background checks so far and MAYBE just MAYBE limiting high capacity clips. Anyone who believes the Dems are trying to take away guns are the biggest part of the problem (and why Trump is leading)

    That all assumes that Buxton breaks camp with the club, which is 50/50 at this point. I think its a very real possibility we see Sano and Arcia in the same OF quite a few times in April/May.
