  1. How long will the Twins losin streak be?
  2. Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said Tuesday that Samuel Deduno will be called up from Triple-A Rochester to start Friday's game against the Tigers. In other words, Kyle Gibson's major league debut will have to wait. Deduno, who had a breakthrough performance during the World Baseball Classic, has a 2.70 ERA and 17/10 K/BB ratio in 16 2/3 innings over three starts with Triple-A Rochester since returning from a groin injury. He'll have a pretty tough first matchup, so fantasy owners should steer clear for now. Source: Dustin Morse on Twitte
  3. Jason Marquis limited the Cardinals to two runs -- one earned -- on three hits over six innings to improve to 6-2 on Monday. Marquis has won each of his last five trips to the bump and has been one of baseball's best starters over that stretch.
  4. Pat Neshek owns a 2.81 ERA over 18 appearances. Born and bred in Minnesota, Neshek has been a decent middle reliever since he was unceremoniously waived by the Twins prior to the 2011 season. Over the last two seasons in Oakland, he's posted a 2.02 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 27/14 K/BB ratio over 42 appearances.
  5. Ryan Doumit is out of the Twins' lineup for the second straight day Monday. Doumit is still dealing with some soreness following a collision at home plate on Saturday. Consider him day-to-day. Source: Mike Berardino on Twitter
  6. It's not all Gardy fault. He is doin all he can, If you can't find him better pitching there isn't much hope.
  7. Just call it a day and save the pen.
  8. We need some fresh arms bad.
  9. We will get dem again tomorrow.
  10. We lost our home field avantage when we moved out of the dome.
  11. We had Dean Chance but we let him go.
  12. When are we goin to callup Bob Gibson?
  13. How is our ace doin? Can't afford a dumpster!
  14. What's to like about this lineup?
  15. You can't trade your best players and think you are coming out ahead.
  16. Josh Willingham was hitless in four at-bats Friday and is hitting .198 for the year. Willingham is hitting just .125 (6-for-48) this month and hasn't homered since April 29. It's fair to assume that his recent wrist soreness is a factor. We're not expecting 35 home runs again, but this might not be a bad time to buy low.
  17. Tony Cingrani yielded three runs in five innings Friday in a no-decision against the Phillies. Following his recent bout of shoulder soreness, Cingrani needed 100 pitches to complete the five frames. After posting a 1.50 ERA over his first three starts in the majors, the southpaw has allowed nine runs in 15 innings over his last three starts and has served up five homers in the process. We still like Cingrani for the long-term, but he could be headed back to the minors next week when Johnny Cueto (lat) returns from the disabled list.
