By the way, my primary care physician has one wandering eye, or maybe he's blind in it, or I don't know. He doesn't wear an eye patch, and I have never asked him about it. He's a good doctor. But when I'm in his office, I always have trouble remembering which eye to look at him in. I have that same sense of disorientation when looking at Scherzer. "Blue... brown... blue... brown... Pick an eye color and stick with it, so I can look at you, Max!" And I chose to reply to MNT1996 because I didn't want to reply to that photo and have to look at it again.

I have some sympathy for that POV. The umpires take it upon themselves to try to encourage fair play. That's probably somewhere in the rules, worded indirectly. But the strike zone is also in the rules, and defined pretty specifically in regard to the knees and so forth.
