    I don't think the league sees Plouffe as sustainably above average and he doesn't play a prime position. I don't think the league sees Escobar as more than utility. I was mostly reacting to what I thought was a perception that we could feed the prospect pipeline in a way that the Span trade permitted us. Troyhobbs has clarified a bit, in the meantime. I kind of don't want to contribute further than this to a tangent in this thread, though.

    B-r.com shows the age difference as just under one year. Hu is not quite 21 and a half. A year matters a good deal when forecasting (and my ranking of ceilings several weeks ago did indeed put Stewart higher than everyone), but Hu's hardly so old at high-A as to need to be qualified as "still a prospect".
