  1. That's some movement on Deduno's pitch to strike out Gomes. Brian, were you aware of that?
  2. Imagine the love child she and Brian Dozier could create.
  3. I departed the game moments too soon. Blink and you can miss it.
  4. You owe ChiTown royalties for use of her catchword.
  5. Ryan's not a natural either. I imagine the front office has had training, but if I was Pohlad or St Peter I would bring in a Public Speaking trainer and make at least a day mandatory for everyone all the way down to the ticket sellers, a week for anyone who is there as a career, and at least a refresher course once a year. It's that bad.
  6. 2016? The bleachers at Wrigley don't have an upper deck.
  7. Moderator's note: funny enough, but it's way too easy to take any given thread and turn it into one of the standard foodfights, in this case "say, has anyone here happened to notice the Twins have lost 290+ games the past three years and don't look that hot this Spring?" Please, folks, don't go out of your way to give the moderation team more gray areas to have to sift through - enough of them come up organically.
  8. Listening to the Red Sox radio feed. The broadcast team is currently trying to puzzle out Bartlett's role. Pinch run for Hammer with Bartlett then let him take over in the outfield, with Escobar still available for infield duty. I guess that's right. Right?
  9. They already have one. It's their... Wait. Contest. Best answer wins the Internets for +1 day.
  10. Moderator's note: Please, can we refrain from turning each thread on an individual roster move into a retrospective on the past off-season? Start a new thread if you think the time is ripe for that.
  11. Diamond still can opt for free-agency, as of this writing, at least AFAIK. It could turn out that the Twins had no alternative between bring him north or just lose him.
  12. Too bad we're not in the NL. We never get to face that Kershaw clown, whose ERA is always ripe for a pummeling. / except, as has been pointed out I think, this spring, where his ERA is 9-something
  13. Yeah, add a few more points to the ERA, then grab him when he is placed on waivers.
  14. Kubel gets an assist in LF! Smart move to sign him.
  15. You can't expect a run every single game!
  16. Moderator's note: Amen.
  17. Any cook can cook. It takes a real chef to not cook.
  18. Mommmm's gone. Mommmm's gone. That's what Campbell's soup's for. Mommmm's gone.
  19. If they are, IMO it's not a great way to build a team. A few years ago you could get something interesting in trade for a spare part that can plug in to a contender; not so much now. To invest two of the 25-man roster spots on the (say) 50/50 chance each of them can be flipped for a C-grade prospect just isn't a good use of those spots; the players need to have those spots because they will help the team while they are part of the team.
  20. Regarding Parmelee: Antony in this and other public statements sounds like Ryan, in that to me they sound like they're talking in code at times. Is "a profile guy" an actual thing, insider code for something? Or, is he just trying to say "he needs to fit the following profile (which we think lines up with his skillset): ..."?
  21. We're not sure if the pitching part has ever been finalized.
  22. http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/electriclightorchestraelo/cantgetitoutofmyhead.html I was being a poop.
