  1. Moderator's note: You left out the smiley face, which I am helpfully providing.
  2. Also (NSFW): http://i.imgur.com/wOavYkU.jpg
  3. It's true. You are not truly watching a contest between two teams trying to win the game with all the strategy and tactics available to them. They are trying to win games through good performances. Sometimes there's not a difference, oftentimes there is. Minor league fans simply, IMO, have to accept this; otherwise they set themselves up for disappointment instead of great fun.
  4. When the dreaded word "consistency" is heard in Twins braintrust interviews, the ability for a pitcher to handle an increasingly heavy workload has to be a part of it. May seems ready to face MLB batters, but perhaps a little further seasoning is still required if he's to achieve enduring success.
  5. Oddly, with the starters going well, it's recently been the late innings that have given much of the heartburn.
  6. It's impossible to completely eliminate all the tells, once and for all, which is what makes the cat and mouse game fun for serious fans, even if they're hard to spot. Kudos if what you spotted holds up - although now that it's in the open like this (who doesn't read TD?) it's immediately changed.
  7. Anecdotal evidence is virtually useless*, but my wife suffered from double vision for a year after a bike accident, then it suddenly corrected itself (as the doctors thought it might, rather than take action), and has not recurred in the several years since. Brains and eyes are tricky, and while I doubt Joe is suffering from something as overt as my wife had, because they'd shut him down if only for his own safety everywhere on the field, it still could be that a month or a year from now Joe wakes up and starts being Joe again. *When did that ever stop me?
  8. Small sample size. Which is why I've been saying for a long time that we need a season with more Saturdays in it.
  9. It's such a nice day today, why don't we play two?
  10. Swing and miss stuff is nice to have. Moar please.
  11. I'll trade that run for the out. But only this once.
  12. I'm not seeing the ads the teevee audience gets, but if you are referring to the one where the wife does the sexy dance in the bedroom but with "I've got daddy issues" written all over her face, then yep.
  13. Man, "In Rochester" turns out to be surprisingly adaptable.
  14. Nice to see Parms contribute.
  15. In Rochester. / variation on the old fortune cookie game
  16. I see what you did there. (Will have to look into creating a JPG for that, finding none on teh interwebs.)
  17. Appropriate for a Correia start.
  18. Uh, uhm, er... I mean, I was pushing to fire Terry Ryan's successor before it was cool.
  19. I don't know if she would advertise like that unless there was product to move.
