I agree with pretty much all of this. I'm not saying Tait is a lost cause, I just think he has a lot of work to do. He's so young that he still has a chance.
Always interesting to see if they can find some MLB talent late in the draft. So far I think it's been a solid draft. Not necessarily who I'd have gone with but I can see why they did. I'm hoping for another high upside high school pick mixed with the usual college guys.
This has played out how I didn't want it to go. To be fair I didn't like the Culpepper and Houston picks either. It looks like I might be wrong on those and hopefully I'm wrong about this pick too. I'm fairly positive the scouts know more than me
I would be really happy with this. The only one I don't like is Sims, especially if they go with Bumila earlier. I don't mind one super high risk/raw hs pitcher, but two seems like too many on the first day.
I'd be ok with any of Cholowsky, Emerson, Flora or Lackey. That's probably the order I'd go with as well. Anybody else I'd be pretty disappointed with. Shortstops are never a bad idea, you can never have enough pitching, and catcher is such an important position.
I'm hoping one of the shortstops drop to us. after that I think I'd go with Flora. Wouldn't be upset with Lackey because good hitting catchers are hard to find. Like the second and fourth picks a lot.
I personally hope Emerson falls. I doubt Cholowsky does. Wouldn't mind Lackey but I think I'd prefer Flora. The Twins have done a decent job developing lower tiered arms. I'd like to see what they can do with someone that has the arm talent he does
Like others have said, it should take more than one really good prospect. I need three for sure. Prefer Some that aren’t far away, one of which would need to be a pitcher
This draft has gone pretty much how I didn’t want it to go. All of the guys I was hoping for were already gone. Would have went with Summerhill or Irish. Not a fan of this pick but I didn’t like Culpepper last year, so what do I know
